Geneva Hotel & Tiki Bar

The tiki bar on the river was so fun! One night there was a band. The locals are really friendly.

I would recommend this property...

An older property but was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful.

We didn’t like that the tiki bar closes at 9:30 pm and they sell food but heck some people like to stay out little later to have fun. Our bathroom was dirty with dirty rag and used bar soap in shower.

I had an overall pleasant stay! The location was a bit older but everything checked out fine. The tiki bar was odd. I went in and asked for a drink menu and got shots. I asked if they had a general drink menu for mixed drinks and she said "you kinda just tell me what you want and I'll make it. She didn't recommend anything give me any general prices I really had no idea what to order so I awkwardly stood there for a few moments. I went to ask a third queation felt like I was going to get a drink and said "do you have margaritas" surely a tiki bar would. She replied yes and then I thought thank god let me just get that. A general drink menu would be nice.... The hotel was pet friendly so my dog Cozmo was able to join me which was nice. The hotel staff seemed very friendly.

Nice view of the river in the back of the lot and close to downtown chimney rock which was convenient. Could smell all the cigarette & weed smoke in our room from people smoking so much though. Wi-fi is basically non existent so if you have to work from your laptop or phone it’s not a good place to stay. The tiki bar and restaurant is a nice touch. Had really good wings and fries that my girlfriend and I enjoyed very much. Terry the property manager was super friendly and accommodating. I’d give it like 6.5/10 overall. Bed was super uncomfortable and we found a girls fake fingernail in our sheets which was pretty gross but besides that the room was pretty clean overall. So the only downsides were the quality of people staying there with all the cigarette and marijuana smoke the Wi-fi issues the old spring bed in the room and the gross fake fingernail we found in bed.

Its suitable for an overnight business trip.

Last minute trip with (skeptical)wife and kid. Rooms were updated but nothing fancy. Staff was extremely friendly and it’s a fun place to stay with Tiki bar in the back. They have karaoke, we played in the river and pool, saw various wildlife including groundhog. We will definitely stay here again. Noise wasn’t an issue at all for us even with a 3 year old but may be for some. Window A/C unit not the best but got the job done in 80 degree weather. This is an inexpensive roadside/riverfront motel so don’t expect The Ritz or even the Marriott but we loved it.
