Geneva Hotel & Tiki Bar

Nice place for a quick getaway. Owners are on site.

I'm not quite sure, but I believe I was staying in an adjoining room to the manager and his family's unit because the walls are kind of thin, and I could hear them talking and coming in and out of the door. And of course with the hardwoods, you can hear people walking around. However, the room was VERY clean and the PERFECT size for just me! I just planned a last minute getaway since my travel plans to FL cancelled due to Hurricane Ian. I had my first exam (online) Saturday, and I was able to hole myself up in this room and study and take my quiz because it was soo peaceful (even with people walking past the room and talking). The king-sized bed was comfortable. I LOVED the bathroom! It was very clean, and the tub was HUGE! The hot water was wonderful! I was surprised to find a hidden fridge and microwave in the cabinets of the dresser! To some, this may not look/seem like a fancy place--and it's not--but it is truly a sweet little nook of serenity set up in the mountains. I enjoyed my stay in Rm 15-A; thanks to the manager for giving me such a nice room. :) I would definitely go back and stay here for a nice peaceful getaway...NOT studying next time! Short stay. Great apartment. Good with dog.some hitches with facilities but well remedied. Tiki Bar and Pool good . Walking distance to Lake Lure Bridge and Gardens. Short drive to Chimney Rock..

Room was ok service was excellent Tiki Bar outback had the best bartenders around but the bar manager was very rude and disrespectful an way over priced for the food

So, be prepared this is a hotel that has a bar attached to it. The Tiki Bar is fun and a bit loud so it may not be for those with young kids. We had a few ants in our room which I didn’t freak out over. They were tiny. The tv didn’t work. The beds were relatively comfortable. It’s an older hotel and the walls are thin. You will hear a lot. Great location and staff was very pleasant.

The place was clean and well-kept. We did, though, find out that the microwave didn’t work on the last night of our stay when it was too late to do anything about it. It seemed like everyone at the place smoked except for us. The on-site bar had karaoke until 9 or so on Friday night, which was not a problem, but other guests raised hell until 3 am. The clientele made the place somewhat unsuitable for families with kids.

Enjoyed the stay at Geneva Riverfront. Fabulous room with beautiful marble shower overlooking river, full kitchen. Loved location near Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Had a full suite with kitchen and living room. Fun Tiki bar with music firepit on the River

If I was looking for a place to party all weekend...this is it. Otherwise, locals are invited in to enjoy the food and entertainment. So, you literly had 50 people hanging out at the bar while you are trying to enjoy the xloudy pool. Bed was uncomfortable and evidence of bec bugs. Not for me, probably should be advertised a little different.

We enjoyed this place more than we thought we would. Great staff, food was good, and great access to a pool or the river. They had live entertainment.
