The whole vibe if the hotel was great. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

We are locals and my husband and I stayed for a one night staycation. Had dinner at an upscale steakhouse downtown and visited the Landing Rooftop for a glass of wine before and cocktails after. The hotel has an upscale modern industrial feel which is fitting for the location in historic Downtown Melbourne. The room seemed well appointed with simple finishes and a clean feel, we had a standard king room. What keeps this hotel from getting five stars are the beds and water pressure and temperature. I like a hot shower and even with the temp tuned all the way hot it was just warm. The water pressure in the shower was average, but in the sink seemed like a heavy trickle. We stay at Hiltons frequently and always sleep well, but not this time. The mattresses and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable and we couldn’t wait to get out of the bed and head home. This hotel has the potential to be a refreshing gem in an area of several older and touristy hotels, but unfortunately falls short in the comfort department. I’m glad we were able to use Honors points for our stay and didn’t pay the actual price for the room. As far as the Landing Rooftop Restaurant, that was probably the best part of our stay. Drinks were amazing (highly recommend the smoked old fashioned) and we enjoyed relaxing and taking in the views by the fire pit. We did not order food this visit but what we saw looked delish. We will definitely return for a date night in the near future now that amazing spring evening weather is here. The valet was another area that they do very well. Quick, efficient (even though self parking in the garage was full) and you can conveniently text to have them pull your car up and they let you know when it’s ready. Super easy in and out, especially if you check in with the app and get a digital key. Definitely would recommend. Just a few areas of improvement would make this hotel one of the best we’ve ever stayed at.

We stayed at Hotel Melby for three nights when in town for a wedding. It was very clean and comfortable. It is located conveniently for many restaurants and bars in town, and there’s a rooftop restaurant and coffee shop in the lobby for on-site dining. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were large. Parking was easy, though it is paid. If I am visiting again, I’d definitely stay again.

Freight train rushing by at all hours beeping its horn at rail crossings. Ugly Cell tower about 200 feet away from rooms facing strawbridge street and waverly . Roof top Restaurant food marginal . Free breakfast not actually free. You get a a la carte voucher for a certain amount and anything above that is charged to your room . You must pay to park even if you are a guest .

We recently stayed at Hotel Melby in Melbourne, Florida for our family wedding weekend. I wanted to recognize Tyler and Monica at the front desk for their outstanding service.
