Beautiful historical hotel with expansive wrap around balcony. The bathroom is updated and very upscale. The room maintained historical ambience while providing modern comfort. The bar is fantastic with many draft options and creative cocktail menu. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it was full of locals. This is the place to stay.

"No peaceful night sleep!!"

The hotel was charming and very clean but……the rooms are not soundproof. We could hear the couple next door’s whole conversation. They seemed to be having a great time but we weren’t. We needed to get up at 4:30 in the morning so we ended up sleeping with the TV on all night to try to drown them out. After getting up so early with no sleep, we needed coffee to wake up and there was not any anywhere. There is no pots in the room or coffee in the lobby. We were so disappointed in the whole experience.

My sisters and I came to town for a family event and we had a great stay at The Colonial Inn. Very charming, yet modern, beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and crisp linens. Excellent customer service and a great restaurant/bar. The cinnamon rolls in the morning were delicious. Walkable to lots of restaurants and shops. Of special note...I used LONNIE with DadVans for an early morning (4am) ride to the airport and he was excellent, on time, and very professional. (919)720-3474 (Uber is said to not be reliable in this area, which I found to be true and scrambling to find a ride to the airport! I am in no way affiliated with the company I recommended above.)
