Riverside Casino & Golf Resort

We stayed here for two nights after receiving a free night through the hotel’s casino perks program. Unfortunately, we’ll likely never return. Check-in was frustrating. Only one person was working the front desk with a long line of guests waiting. Eventually, another employee came to help. I had been quoted $107 for the second night over the phone, but was told at check-in it would be nearly $300. It took about 10 minutes of back-and-forth before they finally honored the original quote—an exhausting process after we had just driven 5.5 hours to get there. The room itself was a major letdown. It was extremely dated, with significant wear and tear on the furniture. Most concerning was the “blanket” placed between the sheets—it was literally in tatters, falling apart, and looked like it hadn’t been replaced in years. The strangest part of the room was the bathroom layout. The shower was in the middle of the room with a clear glass wall so that anyone else in the room could see right in. There was a curtain you could pull across the outside of the glass for some privacy, but when it was open, you could see straight through the shower, sink area, and even into the toilet space. It was by far the weirdest and most uncomfortable hotel bathroom setup I’ve ever seen. The casino was also a big disappointment. The air was thick with smoke, which made it unpleasant to spend much time there. On top of that, the slot machines were incredibly tight—we barely got any bonus rounds, and it felt like we were just feeding money in without any real entertainment. We ended up driving to other nearby casinos on the second day just to have a better experience. The one fantastic part of the stay was the buffet. The food was delicious, and we felt the price was very reasonable for the variety and quality offered. It was by far the highlight of the trip. While we appreciated the free night, the outdated room, strange layout, and disappointing casino made this a stay we won’t be repeating—though we’ll miss that buffet.

Great stop. Way more than expected. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful customer service. Definitely worth a stop!

Very nice hotel/casino. Super clean and lots to offer. We would’ve liked to try the buffet but found out there are limited hours. The cafe was fantastic though. Bed wasn’t the most comfy but I know that’s personal preference.

Terrible service in restaurant, suppose to be handicapped room, wasnt, never any bartenders at the bars. No service

Its a really nice hotel attached to the casino. Makes the feeling of Vegas. Loved the buffet

T snack counter salads andwiches pizza. Obviously its a casino for those who pike a flutter. Bar has live music. The event centre has some great bands visiting. Huge car park. Spa did a great pedicure. All the staff have been polite and friendly. Would definitely visit again. Do go to the startrek museum its fun in Riverside.Golf course too

Overnight stay to visit friends. Handicap room on first floor was ok. Walk in shower, but water pressure was abysmal. Sink was very strong, so they must have water restrictor in shower nozzle. Machines were tight. Great band at bar. Buffet closed during our Wednesday stay, so ate at Draft House bar. Breakfast at 22nd & Vine. Both were ok.
