tienen muchas reglas,quieren cobrar por todo, ami me cobraron 60 pesos por que ensucie una tualla con mango. a otra persona le cobraron por que un nino tiro soda en el piso. la escusa que usan es de que la persona que limpia le toma mas tiempo limpiar.las camas parese ser que son de piedra.

El staff fue muy amable en recepción y también las personas que nos atendieron en el turno de la noche, el hotel es muy limpio y me gustó mucho el área de regadera, es muy amplia y el agua sale a excelente presión.

This was a great hotel if you are planning to stay off resort in Mexico. My mother is a snowbird and my sister and I went to visit her for a week so we decided to stay somewhere near her and close to 5th avenue. This place smelt amazing, the pool was very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our toilet had broke mid week and so they moved us to a bigger and nicer room for free. So accommodating! Would 11/10 stay here again.

My brother and I stayed for a week and we enjoyed this hotel very much. The service was great, the rooms very clean, daily a maid came to change our towels and make our beds. The kitchenette was an added bonus as we were able to make some meals a few times in-house. We were fortunate to have to pool all to ourselves every time we used it and it was very clean. There is even a view to the sea from the rooftop sitting area. Close to everything : beach - shops - restaurants etc. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind if we return to Playa del Carmen. Thank you.

We were extremely disappointed by the state of the Marvic hotel vs what was presented to us in the photos on hotels.com. As can be seen in the photos: Cracked, rotting wood with nails sticking up on the pool deck. Many, many tiles missing and sharp all along the edge of the pool and on the floor of the pool. Only three chairs next to the pool. When we up to sit at the pool - two were taken and we can't sit on the wood deck because of the poor state of the wood. Mold in the shower at the edges and at the corner of the vanity. Towels were not only old and ragged, they were stained in several places. Cumulatively, this was too much for us. After having been checked in for only 2 hours we tried to get our money back and were told by both hotels.com and the Marvic that it was not possible since we didn't cancel before we checked in. How could we possibly know the state of cleanliness and upkeep prior to checking in? We took our lumps and checked into another hotel immediately. Very, very disappointed in both hotels.com and the Marvic.

hotel was clean. Good location.

the pictures that advertise the rooftop are false, rooftop has no bar, it's in very bad shape. pool is OK. the apartment has no fridge, so you are trapped there without anything except water. several things don't work, the shower is in horrible state. you can hear music until midnight from the surrounding bars. it's certainly not 4 star hotel.

The property could be great but the services they list aren’t always working. Internet wasn’t working the entire time and penalized my stay and costed me extra to go elsewhere. The water doesn’t always come out, and not hot

Pros: location (close to avenida quinta), new build (fairly new building)

Cons: room w/ no windows, jail feel, extremely small. misleading pool pics. not really a hotel to be honest - more like a new built condo building w/ many apartments (no common area, place to eat, etc). Fine if you are going out in Playa and just need a place to sleep, NOT suitable for more than 1-2 nights max or if you plan to spend any time in the property. Oh yeah, internet not working anywhere.
