Old Bank Rooms

The bed was comfortable, and the location was central.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The shower had no running water, so we could only use the bathtub. The window frames were poorly sealed, allowing cold air to come into the room. In addition, if more than one tap was used in the bathroom at the same time, the pipes and taps would vibrate and make a loud noise. We could also hear the same issue coming from neighboring rooms. We ordered breakfast for 8:30 a.m., but it never arrived. Overall, the facilities and service did not meet our expectations.

The location was nice, I was worried about being above a chip shop and although there were no smells observed, the staff sat outside on the steps once the shop was closed and were very loud as we had windows open during the bank holiday heatwave.

Issue with the shower, a leaver came off, which was not ideal during a heatwave. Had to have a bath, but no soap mounted near the bath so had to buy toiletries. No mirror in the main room to do hair. No response from the owner, in fact the number was invalid and the email provided bounced back.

It was the best accommodation of our lives. The view, comfort, and breakfast… Everything was wonderful.

The location is fabulous. The bathroom huge and well equipped - large bath and good shower.

No where in the property description is that the apartments sit above a fish and chip restaurant. The entrance was a huge concern and we were anxious prior to reaching our rooms. Entrance not welcoming or well maintained. Beer barrels stored in the entrance. A particular smell on the first floor landing, which, thank heavens was not prevalent in the suites we booked. The first landing foyer carpet is badly stained. The fixtures in the suites need to reflect the same modernity/finish as the bathrooms. The pink chairs in the Sterling suite need re-padded. The property has huge potential but needs a little more care and attention. Sign on wall (outside) hanging out of its perspex frame…

The beds were super comfy. Provided tea, coffee, water, and milk. Spacious room. Breakfast was tasty.

Location is difficult and parking is impossible. The town is extremely busy—hotel is located in the middle of it all which means it’s chaotic and noisy. There’s no staff except the person who delivers breakfast. There’s also no outdoor facilities like a garden or courtyard. Windows don’t open either. This place was definitely overpriced compared to all the places we stayed in the area.

Comfy bed, pillows, great shower, all amenities needed was there and breakfast was perfect. Nice size room and very good location.

Toilet didn't flush if already flushed once, and shower kept over flowing, not draining so some plumbing words needs doing. Was very warm in the room and couldn't figure how to open a window however we did have a fan in the room

The bed, the bathroom and the location. The room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast to the room was also yummy and fantastic.

Very minor, but one of the windows wouldn’t stay open. Was a super hot weekend so need to use a prop to keep the window open.

breakfast was great and the room was nice.

the down stairs restaurant played super loud music until 10 pm or so which made it difficult to have a meeting or relax in the room. I also wasn't aware that I had signed up for a room with out a view when I booked through booking.com. that was a little disappointing.
