Brio Beach Inn

Quaint little inn with a beautiful beach view.

Weather was good, nice view and beach front. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, will stay again.

They renovated an old hotel - newer floors and some fixtures but the bathrooms are same old beige plastic. Could at least put new toilet seats in. Great location on the beach, good seating, a fire pit, close to restaurants and downtown

The wifi was not good and we traveled for work so we needed it. I asked about separate billing and was told yes - then at the end they "couldn't do it" -frustrating.

Brio is right on the bay and was less than many other hotels. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was described as grab and go sandwiches, but there was a nice breakfast with sausage and eggs and tables to sit at.

Unpredictability of September weather in Michigan! Cloudy, cool and rainy but hotel staff shared a positive forecast and the day turned out great. Traffic is pretty heavy outside the hotel, but that's another Michigan problem, not Brio problem!

Location

The room was clean and updated. The location was in a good spot. The beach was amazing with beautiful sunrises and sunsets each evening. It was great to have a fire pit onsite as the evening weather was a bit chilly.

While the room was very clean and updated, there wasn't a dresser/closet to "unpack" for our stay so we lived out of our luggage. There was only 1 very hard student desk-type chair in the room so we had to sit on the beds which wasn't ideal. We had brought cards but couldn't play since there wasn't any type of table in the room.

One chair needed repair. Cushion was damaged… maybe from someone heavy or jumped on??? (Sunk in on one side)
