Hotel Mágico del Mar

No había nadie en la recepción, tuve que esperar media hora para que me atendieran, no había servicio de comida en el lugar teneindo un mini restaurante, pero al rededor hay buenas opciones

First of all, when we arrived, the man at the reception area asked how much I was quoted by Expedia for my reservation. He didn’t bother looking it up. He said the prices have changed and that we could have a smaller room for the originally quoted price. He said prices have gone up and they advised Expedia more than a week ago. I told him that I made this reservation about a month ago. As I was getting ready to find another hotel, I was approached by another woman and man. They were friendly and considerate as it was already dark and we’ve been traveling all day. The young man called someone. He found my reservation and honored the quoted price. We we went up the the room, there was a bed, 2 chairs, and a small table. The pillow cases were dirty, the sheets had a big yellow stain on them, but looked clean. The shower took about 15 minutes to heat up and the water kept going in and out. The bathroom sink was dirty and we had a open shampoo packet. I went to speak to the friendly lady, Laura, and she offered us another room. We went into the other room and the sheets were not changed. Disgusting! Once we laid down, the bed was hard as a rock and very unstable. The next day, I asked for a blanket, two extra pillows for a Cal-king bed (we only had two small pillows) and washclothes or hand towels. The blanket never came, no washclothes; we did receive hand towels only. The next morning, we discovered our rental car had been broken into. We had a new T-shirt stolen.

It was great-everyone was polite and helpful. Price was reasonable, clean and attractive-

No te respetan la reservación en el momento que llegas al hotel ,te modifican la tarifa y te dan el cuarto que ellos quieren no el que quiere uno

Pros: renovated building and clean. Close to beach boardwalk. Friendly and helpful check in. Cons: very strong revolting sewage smell in the room, so i had to intermittently leave the room door open.The room didn't have a window, and was claustrophobic.

El Hotel se encuentra en una zona muy céntrica, es muy tranquilo y se escucha muy poco ruido, la limpieza y el servicio del hotel muy bueno el área de oportunidad es proteger las zonas de vapor de agua , ya que la pintura se esta levantando

Mala malisima experiencia 1 no fue lo que reserve la habitación. Ofrecen vista panorámica al mar y eso no existe ahí. 2 mi regadera no tenía regadera. Es decir. Salía un chorro de agua 3 cancel del baño roto. Alto peligroso 4 techo sin pintar 5 ventanal en baño sin cortina. Es decir no te puedes bañar ahí. En fin. Condiciones inhabitables y los encargados incluido el dueño nos dijo que le hagamos como queramos. Que vayamos a la profeco o donde más nos parezca. Desaloje. Es decir me fui habiendo pagado dos noches. Y no me reembolso mi dinero. Y para variar. Tampoco me han facturado. Tomaré cartas en el asunto. NO VAYAN. ES UN FRAUDE!!!

Las instalaciones son muy buenas y la ubicación muy recomendable, sólo tienen que mejorar algunos aspectos tales como: la ducha carece de señalización y el agua caliente sale por el lado derecho sin que nada lo indique o sea que se desperdicia mucha agua antes de que puedas detectarlo, no tiene elevador y hay que subir muchas escaleras no recomendable para adultos mayores, no hay teléfono en habitaciones y al registrarse no te proporcionan algún número de contacto con administración , ni el wifi para el internet, tiene uno que investigar al respecto…sólo el personal muy amable rescata la simpatía ante esas circunstancias

I have submitted many reviews and am very careful in my response especially if I am disappointed. I understand many businesses rely on favorable reviews but in this hotels case, well here is my review. Arrival was smooth, my room was ready and the manager/owner took my payment after reluctantly comparing his posted prices to the Expedia posted price. I was booked and paid for 14 nights. Room was clean but not a spot to hang any clothes and very small, no window. Hotel was quiet the first night with no noticeable street traffic. Four blocks to the ocean but be advised that the walk is steep coming back from the ocean. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good, just give it a few minutes for the warm water to arrive. They say there is a restaurant and yes there is one, but it is rarely open, very few items, not very good at best. Day two I unfortunately had to reduce my trip to 8 nights and discussed with the same manager/owner about a refund for the adjusted nights and he said " no problem, we will refund your card, just give me a couple of days to send it to the accounting department ". Well no refund, excuses every day why he couldn't refund on my card, said I need to talk to Expedia, eventually said no refund but would give me a credit for paid nights. Communication was poor at best with trying to get Expedia to assist in some way. To say the least I have now started to deal with the credit card company and the hotel with no reply from the hotel. El personal es muy amable y te hacen sentir en casa todo el tiempo.
