Victoria House by Aeria Apartments

Although the place itself was decent, fantastic location, decently comfortable bed, great heating system, the cons definitely diminished the good.

My stay did not get off to a great start, I got into the apartment to find dirty used forks and glasses still in the kitchen and a bed that looked slept in. I immediately messaged the host and got a response not long after, and the apartment was properly cleaned. I later came to understand why the previous guests had not cleaned there dishes, as there was nothing to clean them with, not soap, no sponge, there was a dishwasher with two pods to use, but when you've only got a couple dishes or something that needs to be cleaned quickly you don't want to run the whole dishwasher. But the more confusing part is that the check-in was at 4pm, why wasn't the place cleaned during the day. The next issue came when I was locked out of the apartment building twice. The first time I tried my code multiple times with no success, I sent a message to which they responded, asking what code I was using, I said the code. They then asked how they could help, so I repeated the issue. They then got my name wrong and asked me what code had I used, again. They then sent me a message telling me what the code was... the same code I had already tried and told them I tried. At this point, I gave up and returned to the door to try again. After pushing the door in and then trying the code, I got back in. This happened again the day after. The shower is also a rain shower, and it is very difficult to keep your hair dry as it sprays everywhere. The kitchen had the appearance of being fully stocked but waslacking, no drying rack, knives but no chopping boards, a bottle opener but no scissors. It was also very loud, the cost of a great location, but I didn't realise that would mean a club or a party downstairs with speakers so strong the windows and the floors were shaking, not great when I was planning on going to sleep early and it didn't stop shaking till 11pm, and when it was turned down you could still here it.

I liked the space and cleanliness of the property

The deposit is a bit heavy but the property is worth it

Limited kitchen supplies - in particular no kitchen knives (only butter knives) and some dishwashing liquid would be helpful.

Location, comfort,clean.

42 steps from street level into the apartment. Scanned for TV stations to no effect, no instructions. No instructions as to how heat worked so water often tepid. Rang about the safe on Wednesday evening and spoke to a gentleman who promised it would be fixed next day. Two days later I met a workman on the stairs who promised to ring in and have it fixed, but no-one came. I found these 3 issues most disappointing given what I paid for the apartment. I expect a response to these comments.
