Great spot right by a train station. Really clean great staff. Staff kept our luggage so we could spend the day looking around before going to our next location.

Good location close to Subway station and various bus lines. Overall a pleasant stay, but the room was really small. I do not recommend the breakfast buffet unlelss you are in a hurry in the morning. Definetely don't book breakfast ahead of time. I might look for different accomodation option if I were to return to Kyoto.

It’s really close to local train station. Great staff, nice and clean room. I chose this location wanting to stay close to walking distance from local train station. But away from my area of interest at Higashiyama district.

"Kind staff but would likely not book again"

I will start by saying the staff is extremely friendly and tried their best to accommodate us with the resources they were given. We booked a triple room (3 beds). It was very small and cramped, little to zero room between beds, we had to walk sideways to squeeze between those spaces to actually get to our beds. The beds were average, semi-firm. The room was very very clean. There was no phone in the room, no way to call front desk. No complimentary water. They do offer breakfast of course with an added fee. No lunch or dinner offered. The breakfast was average. Laundry services consisted of two sets of small stackable washer and dryer which required coins to use. Some positives were free shuttle back and forth to golden pavilion and bamboo forest. I would probably not book this hotel again.

Location is perfect ! 2 mins. away from Marutamachi station. 5 mins. walk to Coop-Kyoto Supermarket. Closes at 8:30pm. Provides FREE shuttle service to 1.Golden Temple & 2. Bamboo forest. Reception staff J is great ! Gave us good tips & directions to the Kyoto Tower. Staff Ryoko is super friendly and speaks fluent English. Room & Bathroom is well equipped. Requested for extra pillows through PoPo, she’s very prompt. She also gave us good direction to the hotel.
