Susukino Granbell Hotel

So one was offended by my tattooed Caucasian middle aged body in the onsen.

There are multiple with the same name, just a district name attached. I walked way out of my way only to have to take a taxi to the correct branch. GPS on my Apple Maps lagged and was of poor service so I really got disoriented on multiple Occasions

Location and clean rooms!

Everything was good

Comfortable and clean. Nice layout for the rooms. Fairly efficient hotel. Liked the room setup and views. Location was pretty good.

I stayed at a few hotels from this brand on this trip and this one had some oddities. The women’s public bath is not too exciting. Outside pool is too shallow and small. Why bother really? My partner didn’t use the men’s bath so I’m not sure about that one. One very strange thing-staff took our laundry out of the machine without letting us know they do that. And when we went down to the front desk in a panic thinking someone had taken all our clothes they seemed confused that they were missing. Lol We were actively waiting for it to be done and had a timer on. No apology given but the clothes were crumpled in a bag and handed to us. Very odd. Also took some time to get our car out of the hotel parking even though there was no one else in the queue.
