Nice, safe, quiet location. Ocean view, just steps to the beach. For this price point, don't expect the latest and greatest decorations and newest property. It's solidly 1990 vintage. But almost everything is clean, comfortable, in working condition. The one thing that has to go is the bathtub. Originally a whirlpool bathtub, the jets have been decommissioned and patched up in a gross and tacky way. It's also very difficult to even get into the bathtub due to the configuration of the tub and the bathroom. I would not hesitate to call it dangerous, especially for someone of a certain age. Use the shower downstairs instead.

Terrible communication - left multiple voicemails in advance of trip without a call back. They never answered the phone. They provide 1 hour check-in window. No earlier than 4pm for check-in, but the office closes at 5pm. The property is outdated and in disrepair. Sliding doors all jammed, shower knobs not functioning properly, window blinds totally broken, etc.

There was no air conditioning!!!! Nights were fine with fans, days too warm to be comfortable or relax

This was a one bedroom and a loft not a two bedroom like I booked! Needs updating badly No amenities Poor customer service Why are check ins getting later and later! Check in should be earlier. Other than that the location is great

In 1987 a Young Family purchased Their time share at Mandalay Shores Resort. Because of their schedules it was always impossible to commit to a firm date a year out. Now, 35 years later, and two new company owners, a pandemic, a grown Family, things have changed ! FINALLY !!!! Scheduling was easy, details from Alexa and Lucy Perfect ! My Wife and I had the best time ever ! Our children with their children came up to Mandalay Shores Resort. for R&R-Perfect Clean Beach and sunsets! Parks ! Great weather ! and smiling, Happy Oxnard, Ventura , People ! and restaurants !! Beautiful Farm land, flowers fruit and veggies, all types of restaurants, Great Sea Food ! What Wonderful views and Lots of things to do ! The condominium was perfection ! Clean and Breezy Charming Cottage Condo!Thanks Angelina !, Cozy fireplace on cool evenings,Thanks Eric! Great back yard patio,for out door morning coffee and Evening refreshments, and the cleanest pool and Jacuzzi ever ! Our kids and Grand kids were all amazed ! Parking is perfection/easy. Texting to Alexa at the front desk, and always easier to drop in with questions. great help ! We are signing up for next years vacation. And explore future "Banking" options with our time share that "Grand Pacific Resorts " offers ! Truly all the details are/were, taken care care of ! Thank you Mandalay Shores Resort Team !!!

We chose this because its a quieter beach area then anywhere in LA county. Near beaches, food and fun, Oxnard is next to Ventura, so there is plenty to do. At the same time, this complex is very quite in the evening.
