Great location. Enjoyed having a little kitchenette to use. The property also a nice little courtyard area. Most amenities were excellent (including quality soap/shampoo products); main downside was lack of secure luggage storage for those hours after checkout & before it’s time to head to the airport.

This is located right in the heart of Old Town on King Street, so it's safe and surrounded by a million restaurants, cafes, stores, etc. The metro stop (with direct/easy access to Smithsonian, Arlington Cemetery, etc.) is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk, or you can take a free bus (# 31) to the station, which leaves every 10-30 minutes from right outside the door. Having lived in Alexandria for several years, I knew that this location was great, but I have lots of other good things to say about this place, too. It was exceptionally clean, even by my germophobic standards. The bathroom was huge, and spare towels, toilet roll, etc. are all there in the hallways should you need them. I understand why some reviewers were annoyed by the parking situation, but this is typical for the area. The city of Alexandria's website has a parking map showing all the available options (we parked at the Union Street lot, which allowed overnight parking for $20-25 a night). The bad: the apartment itself is a gorgeous remodel in a beautiful old building with giant windows, but our windows (#400) definitely needed to be replaced. Lots of large gaps meant that we could hear the street noise even more than necessary (to be fair, Sonder provided ear plugs because of the central location). We also had a dozen little spiders hanging about around these windows. It's also not ideal if you wanted a place to sit and hang out - it's a studio apartment, so there's a bed and then a (nice) kitchenette. In other words, the only seating is the bed. We didn't mind because we just needed a base for sleeping and showering, but something to consider if you spend a lot of time in the room. That said, although it's small, it didn't feel claustrophobic. Those giant windows brought in a ton of natural light. I would definitely choose Sonder again because of how clean this place was, and their properties seem to be in excellent locations. I also used the chat feature on their app the week before my trip, and even though it was a Sunday, someone kindly responded immediately, so I feel good about their customer service.

The room was massive, very clean and bright. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and even had a full laundry. Also was very close to city centre. Overall amazing experience, we were sad to leave.

Such a lovely place! Perfect location, perfect amenities! Great restaurants, local grocery - easy walk to the river. Beautiful views every morning with coffee! Apartment had everything I needed! Great stay!

So easy to use! Everything was online from reservation to check out. No key cards to mess with. It was beautiful place to stay and the neighborhood was simply amazing. I was there for work and am already planning a personal trip back!

Great location in the center of the town, very convenient for transportations: half way between Metro and waterfront where all the attractions are. The room was great with very convenient kitchen area and very nice bathroom

The place was clean, it had what we needed, and it was located in the middle of Old Town Alexandria. We used the Sonders App and it was really easy to use. The check in and out instruction were easy to follow and we also used the app the gain access to the building and the apartment. We stayed there for 10 days without an issue.

I had a business meeting at Gaylord National Harbor the next day so I knew Old Town pretty well and figured it would be a smart move to stay there if possible due to the fact that there are a ton of restaurants, walkable town, etc. The big concern was cost. I had an honorarium covering my speech so I looked for bed and breakfasts and other like accommodations. I happened upon this Sonder site and was intrigued. I loved the fact that one it was all done contactless (including mobile key through their app), was very quiet and the room had a bunch of amenities I would not get in an average hotel. It was worth it. Their first floor patio was a nice extra for some outside chill time before bed. I would easily stay at one of these again.

Great option vs. a hotel. Within walking distance to everything. No street noise, but you you do get some noise from the planes leaving DCA. Provided ear plugs if you needed them. Room had everything you need for longer stays. Secure building. Enjoyed our stay!

The studio apartment is modern with incredible amenities. The bathroom floor is heated and is a wonderful surprise each time you step inside. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was well furnished. The location is amazing as you have many restaurants and shops within an easy walk. King Street is an active pedestrian area and there is a free shuttle and a free Dash bus that runs from the waterfront to the Metro station. From there you are minutes away from downtown DC. Would absolutely stay here again.
