Tropic Bacalar

Did not offer any help with luggage and the included breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Aside from that, the property is BEAUTIFUL, the view is SPECTACULAR, and this is the best place to watch the sunrise I’ve experienced in Mexico!

Gran lugar a un precio accesible para visitar Bacalar. La vista a la laguna es inmejorable, tienen kayaks en renta y hamacas para los huespedes. La cama muy cómoda, solo la regadera tenía baja presión para bañarse. Definitivamente regresaré en un futuro a hospedarme en este lugar. La atención por parte del personal fue muy buena. El desayuno es muy sencillo, solo pan tostado, mermelada, crema de maní, café y fruta.

The location is fantastic; waking up to a view of the lake is wonderful!

The lake features a small pier covered with artificial grass that has a moldy smell and attracts mosquitoes. It would be beneficial to remove this grass to improve cleanliness and eliminate the unpleasant odor, especially since this area is a prime location for the hotel.

The room had everything one needs on holiday really. I mean no hot water but we hadn’t had hot water anywhere. The view was gorgeous and ceiling fan/AC options were much appreciated. We really enjoyed our time in Bacalar! The staff would really enjoy their jobs more if they engaged with the visitors.

There was a group of about 15-20 people on a tour there when we arrived. Our bed was dirty upon arriva. The sheets were stained which were replaced but they seemed annoyed by us letting them know. The roofelt very cramped with one wondow very high up. We were offered a possible room upgrade which never happened. Pretty sure we were the only people there as well. Lights in the room were cool white making it feel stale nor "homey". Could use updating and decor. The potential is there and the location and yard/lagoon are very nice.

Die Lage ist wunderschön an der Lagune, das ist auf jeden Fall hilfreich, da man ohne Hotel an der Lagune nur über Beachclubs dahin kommt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Ausblick auf die Lagune und es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Das Zimmer an sich ist schön, weißt aber einige Mängel auf. Die Dusche wird nicht warm/heiß und hat quasi null Wasserdruck und auch das Bad allgemein riecht ab und zu nach Abfluss. Allgemein würden wir das Hotel empfehlen und auch wiederkommen.

Guadalupe and all the staff were excellent for suggestions and calling our cabs for us to venture out. And even the hotel owner pick up from the bus terminal as our flight in was canceled due to tropical cyclone and had to take a bus from Cancun to Bacalar (5.5 hours) couldn’t reach the hotel as phones and electricity was affected, but owner(Alejandro ) reached out on IG and came to pick us up at 11:30 at night. The first night there was no electricity due storm which was not the hotel’s fault but by the time we came back from site seeing the power on and they even upgraded us to a room with a view of lagoon for the same price. I was totally impressed by their hospitality and service!!! Please go and you will love this great hotel
