The Parkgate Hotel

Bed was the most comfortable... like... EVER. Room was absolutely pristine. Restaurant downstairs was amazing and almost unexpected. And honestly best service of any restaurant I've ever been too (thats not Michelin star, and tbh probably better than some of those) they were so incredibly efficient, attentive and kind. Such a wonderful stay in a good spot in Cardiff. The only nice classy original main hotel in Cardiff. All the other 'fancy ones' are modern and run down. Absolutely loved it.

Cant think of anything. Oh maybe process and prices on the spa but we didnt get have time to use that service.

Location is superb, the staff pleasant especially the restaurant manageress at breakfast

My room wasn't ready for check in time and although I was offered a complimentary drink in the bar I was on a tight schedule. The room itself was ok but sub par for the cost. When I got back in the evening about 11.15 there was no sign the bar was oipen, the two staff chatting clearly didnt want to be interrupted and walked away

Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options Staff always very helpful and informative It was my wife's 70th birthday and the restaurant ensured it was a special meal Attended the SPA for a day and had a great day, the staff again we=here excellent.

In the thermal spa area the rails going into the pool had marks around the entry into the water, they did not look as if they were wiped daily.

L’emplacement de l’établissement est TOP au pied de la gare centrale, du quartier historique et du stade. Le personnel est aidant et vraiment sympa. L’établissement est très bien insonorisé

Juste la piscine qui fait partie du SPA est indépendante de l’hôtel, donc il faut payer un supplément conséquent pour s’y rendre. Mais située au 6 eme étage, cela vaut vraiment le coup. Avec le système de réservation, j’ai eu la chance d’avoir tout l’équipement pour moi tout seul, c’était vraiment sympa.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was luxurious and comfortable. The spa/thermal suite was good. Location was great.

Room service breakfast was disappointing. Omelette tasted very oily, toast was cold and hot chocolate was from a machine. Expected more for the price. Having to pay for use of the thermal suite as a hotel guest. It was discounted but still not ideal. Alternatively, add a discount to treatments too. No body lotion in the bathroom.

A very comfortable room in a historic building. Excellent location for station and downtown attractions. Room was v good value for money.

Breakfast surprisingly pricey in a crowded room.

It's a well-located four-star hotel, convenient for the station, bus station and city centre. Despite its central location, it's quiet.

The problem is just too many unforced errors: the oat milk at breakfast was infested with grey gloop, some spoons at breakfast were just not clean. These are little things, but they make the difference between an Ok stay and a reat stay
