The Parkgate Hotel

Cleanliness and comfort of the room. Ordered room service, and the young lady (I didn't take her name) was very sweet. We ordered sourdough bread and Welsh butter (delicious and hot), and Caesar salads were very nice. Staff at reception, Spa and housekeeping were lovely. A special thank you to Ana at Reception - very professional and couldn't do enough to help. A little shout out to Anja from the Spa, we had a hot stone massage, it was sooo relaxing, a very talented and caring young lady. The massage rooms were very clean and comfy. Thank you.

Breakfast was a little disappointing for a 5*. We did go 30 mins before closing, so hot food was warm and you could tell it had been there for a while (susage and bacon). I feel the selection of fruit and bread could have been better. You have to pay extra for an omelette and drinks aren't served to you. I had to ask about the drinks, and it's all help yourself at the station. I asked for tea, and they did say they would bring it to the table. Service could have been more on spot at breakfast.

Immaculate room and bathroom. Nice extra touches with the room we booked. Very comfortable.

Location was perfect for the stadium and train and town centre but a slightly dodgy street in some parts.

Close location to train station and city. Hotel was lovely and would stay again.
