Canopy By Hilton Portland Waterfront

Ive been staying at this hotel for two weeks at a time for a year now. Seriously, it is my home away from home, and it is not just the room, or the lobby, or the fabulous restaurants. It is the front office, it is the front desk, it is the bartenders, and the cleaners. Mostly, it is that whenever issues arise, as they have to arise in any establishment, they are dealt with. Immediately. Someone takes ownership. Someone fixes it. Someone reaches out. Someone actually cares. And for a hotel of this caliber, which does not usually get business travelers, that is just so unusual that if I could give it more stars I would.

Great location to explore all the best restaurants and shops. Good sizes, comfortable room. Free water.

I am giving only 4 stars because the WiFi wasn’t free unless you were a member and because of the expensive valet parking.

Didn’t like parking setup but the valet was cool.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Check in was great. Andrew was pleasant and had great recommendations at check in. I like the rainfall showerhead. The hotel was so conveniently located to everything in the Old Port.

Love the rooftop bar and the cafe attached to the hotel! Everything is always so clean and the staff are all wonderful. And the valet is super convenient. It is super walkable to a bunch or great restaurants and shops around Old Port.

The hotel facilities are very nice, and the room was clean and well maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep.

Parking was a challenge — the parking fees are quite high. In addition, sound insulation could be improved, as we could hear flushing noises from nearby rooms throughout the night.

Luna was amazing! Room was great!

It’s the best place to stay in Portland by far.
