This hotel checks all the boxes. Nice new hotel that is clean with upscale design and friendly staff . Great location to walk to all the best restaurants in the Old port area. The thing that made our stay over the top was Alec who seems to be there at our every turn. He made us feel right at home with his incredible hospitality and he made our stay extra special. 5 stars for Alec ! We will be back

Beautifully designed hotel. Great lighting, great ambiance — we loved how we felt here. We would come to Portland in the future just to stay in this hotel. Everyone who works here seems to love it. Renee at the front desk was particularly helpful — she gave us a many awesome recommendations. The gym is also very modern and clean. It has kettlebells, a BOSU ball, and boxes for jumps. You don’t find this at many hotel gyms

We had a wonderful stay at the Canopy Portland Waterfront in beautiful Portland, ME. Our experience was A+++ from the warm “Welcome” at check-in to the cheerful “Have a safe trip, see you back soon” at departure. The Front Desk team, led by Alec and Andrew, along with their wonderful colleagues, as well as the housekeeping staff and the beverage/restaurant teams, all contributed to an exceptional visit. Well done! You’ve truly defined hospitality.

Valet parking only at $45 / night is more than we were expecting to pay; we ended up just street parking

Absolutely lovely stay. The rates at the Canopy are always so reasonable and the rooms are always gorgeous, staff is wonderful, and spotlessly clean. We usually stay at other hotels around portland to see something new, but this is now our new favorite spot! Restaurants are fabulous. Would love a larger room service menu in the future, but we had an absolutely fantastic stay :)
