Movenpick Hotel Hobart Hobart Charged twice for our accommodation 1058279465 We booked and paid for our two night/ two room stay on The Luxury Escapes site in February. On arrival at the hotel (10/4/26) there seemed to be a problem locating the second room in the hotel’s system so we could only check in to one room while the problem was rectified. The issue was fixed an hour or so later and we then checked in to the second room. Our stay was pleasant (although a Luxury Escapes credit wasn’t applied on checkout) This was rectified after I completed a MÖVENPICK survey on our stay. I thought that was the end of it but I just received our credit card statement and I have been charged AGAIN for one of the rooms that I had already paid for before check in. I have emailed the hotel twice and rang and left a message today and still received no response. Movenpick Hobart has overcharged me $487. I would appreciate someone getting back to me and refunding the overcharge. The staff member I dealt with and had emailed twice and rang was James. NB: The overcharge was apparently refunded on 28/4 after my emails but I was not advised of this. I was finally contacted by MÖVENPICK when I contacted Luxury Escapes support team for their assistance. The money is yet to land in my account.
