Location was great...the room was quite average

Room was not that clean and plus they gave us room with no view Not many options for vegetairan and when asked if they can give us more food options they said no staff was rude too....she asked hefty amount for parking+

convenient location and the staffs are very friendly.

Not easy to find where to park the car if you driving to the hotel… and our hotel room has no window.

Stayed at the Movenpick for two nights on either end of a two-week tour of the island, and enjoyed both stays very much. We arrived early for our first stay, so our luggage was stored until our room was ready. We wandered around Hobart until check-in time, and when we got back our bags had been taken up to our room. Rooms were clean and with space enough for the two of us to move about without being in one another's pocket. The bed was big and comfortable, and the bathroom was large, clean and well lit. If television is your thing, there are plenty of channels available. The hotel is well located - within walking distance of the waterfront, Hobart's main shopping precinct, Salamanca Markets, Tourist Information and tours, and the best restaurants in town. When we returned at the end of our 12-day tour, I was greeted by my first name by the young lady I had met at Reception for our first stay . . . who doesn't appreciate that level of service? I wish I could remember her name - she was a gem. There was - apparently - some sort of issue with our booking, but the Movenpick staff sorted it out with the tour company without drama, and even found me at breakfast to pass on the good news. The restaurant on the ground floor serves an excellent breakfast, and also does a more than adequate dinner (we didn't try lunch). Try the Asparagus and Lemon Risotto - you won't be disappointed. My wife has expressed a wish to visit Hobart again at some time in the future. When we do, I know where we'll be staying.

Breakfast was great, liked how you ordered something hot off the menu and then there was a continental buffet. Valet parking was so convenient. Staff were all really friendly and helpful.

City view wasn’t as good as the pictures, but it was a free upgrade through genius so can’t really complain.

We stayed here Good Friday. The hotel wasn’t busy. I am an ACCOR member and emailed days in advance and asked for a higher floor. I received an email back to say the request was noted but not guaranteed. When we arrived we were checked in to a room on Level 3 (the lowest floor with the room overlooking the bus stop). We were extremely tired after a long week traveling and were flying home Saturday. Being so low you could hear the clock tower ring every hour and half hour. It continually woke us up through the night. Then from 5am, the noise of the cars/trucks outside our room ensured that we were not getting any further sleep. Extremely frustrating. The positive is that the hotel is in a good location and the rooms are nice. If you can get a higher floor you will probably have a decent night stay. But avoid the lower floors if you like your rest.

Location and cleanliness.

Being checked on our breakfast as an included meal as they stated booking through Booking.com it doesn’t come up there breakfast list??? It was embarrassing being held up at the breakfast concierge for them to go to the reception to check on our inclusion.
