B22 - Rising Sun 2 Bed Flat

My daughters joined me for vacation here. The location was convenient and the view was SUPPOSED to be great, but the weather door was broken the entire time so WE NEVER GOT TO ENJOY THE VIEW that was a big selling point in the listing. ☹️

My daughters joined me for vacation here. My husband and I had previously been in a wonderful condo on the marina side of Lagos. The B22 apartment was not clean and the weather guard door was clearly broken as soon as I arrived. It was very visible that it was unhinged, and hadn't just happened. No one at the office said anything to me and I specifically paid for the view!! I went back to the office, expressed my concern over the cleanliness and broken weather door. I was told it was late in the day so nothing could be done about the door. I said even if someone could just get it up and it wouldn't close again, is be fine because 1)I paid for the view and 2) the place has no ac so the open door allows a nice breeze to enter and cool off the place. The girl said she would see what she could do. The next day someone came to reclean and did okay but not great but I said nothing because at least they tried, but no one came for the door. I texted again about my concern and if they could just get someone to open it. No response. No one came. Nor the next day. Nor the next day. And no communication at all. When I finally went to check out and expressed my frustration and requested some compensation, the gentlemen at the front desk said he knew nothing about it so he could not do anything. However Vanessa, the girl to whom I had spoken when previously was sitting at her desk two seats away and I said, "Well, she knew, and nothing was done." She avoided any eye contact with me, did not come over, and kept looking at her computer screen and avoiding me. I am very, very disappointed with how I was treated. I paid for a view and a breeze that I did not get and they had to have known the door was broken because it was very obvious. I have stayed more than a month now in the Algarvae this year, plus I stayed two and a half weeks last year in Italy and Greece. I am pretty easy going overall and understand not everything is like in the States.

Some issues with broken equipment.

Great location. Very clean apartment and very spacious! When we arrived, the wifi didn't work but the staff were quick to help and sort it out!

There are a few small things that could have made our stay perfect and I think that these came up in other reviews, so I don't understand why not fix them? I'm referring to: 1. Bathroom seat should be adjusted 2. Apartm door is hard to close/open and makes a lot of noise when trying to. 3. There is no basic ingredients in the kitchen. I feel that nowa it is basic to provide with salt , pepper, oil... but there is nothing, which is a pity. Also, the windows are not so thick and as it's quite q central location, the noise does come through sometimes.
