There was nothing to like about this property. They double charged me $1200 for a double booking and refused to refund me. Run away and DON’T book here!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. At check-in, they double-charged me ($1,200 twice) and refused to refund my money. The hotel itself is a total dump. It is extremely dirty (see attached photos), and the rooms are so small you can barely move around. We found bugs in the bed and on the floor, and the bathroom floor was filthy and clearly never cleaned. The toilet was loose from the ground and rocked back and forth when you sat on it. The condition outside of the rooms is even worse — run-down, unkept, and unsanitary. On top of that, my son had hidden his AirPods in the room, and when we returned, they were gone — even though we had tipped the cleaning staff $20. For the price we paid, this was completely unacceptable. Between the fraudulent double charge, the terrible cleanliness, the bugs, the missing AirPods, and the cramped rooms, I would strongly warn anyone against staying here.

The property was renovated with a nice beach decor. The bonus is you just walk across the street and you’re at the beach. No trying to find and pay for parking.

This is a motel. I knew that it was a motel, but the photos (accurately) display updated rooms and bathrooms. The front desk staff is eager to please, but they cannot address the underlying weaknesses with enthusiasm. Description of suites. The Parker Beach Lodge website described the king suites as having a sofa bed in the living area. The seating in the living area is like a chaise on 2x4 legs. It is not a sofa and it is not a bed. The management called me before my visit to state that they did not have a sofa bed for my son, but at first it sounded like they did not have a king suite. When I finally understood the concern, I asked to bring an air mattress for my son, and they agreed. The room had no air conditioning inthe bedroom, and we could not get comfortable, so we were given the other king suite next door. That room also had the same chaise lounge situation. The website shoudl be updated to accurately present the bed options within the king suites. Remodeled (mostly). The rooms and bathrooms look nice, with the exception of some staining on the floors. Floors are a consistent concern at this lodge (motel), with sloping floors on the exterior walkway, and stained carpeting. Most of the stains are paint dripped from freshening up the railings, but there are persistent smells (urine?) coming from the carpets, especially in the corners of the buildings. Comfort. Even our young adult daughters commented that the air conditioning in the double queen room that they shared felt inadequate. We keep our thermostat around 74 degrees Fahrenheit for sleeping at home, so they are used to warm temperatures for sleeping. The sheets did not feel like cotton, which contributed to feeling hot and uncomfortable. Privacy concerns. Other concerns include the water-damaged doors, some of which appear to be painted plywood that is delaminating. Conversations from the bedroom were very clearly heard in the bathroom. The king suite room had a louvered door with a slide lock for privacy from the living area. It did not feel private from our son in the living room. Our room (and those near it) overlooked a lot upon which construction machinery is parked. No construction occurred during our 3 day 2 night stay. This "lodge" has been photographed expertly. I will not stay here again.
