Our Habitas Bacalar is one of the most peaceful hotels I’ve ever experienced. The setting on the Bacalar lagoon is simply magical – everything here is still, calm, and beautifully secluded (about 10 minutes from town). Rooms & Service: The hotel kindly upgraded us to a lagoon-facing room for our anniversary celebration, and I highly recommend booking these if available. While all rooms are identical in format and comfort, the lagoon-facing ones are positioned closer to the water, giving you stunning lagoon views right from your room – especially beautiful at sunrise when you pull back the curtains. The jungle-facing rooms require you to be on the deck or sun lounges to enjoy the lagoon views. Rooms are comfortable and housekeeping is good. Food: Breakfast is included and genuinely impressive – you receive a hot drink, juice, a small starter (fruit or chia pudding or toast), followed by an à la carte selection of mains including chilaquiles, shakshuka, Turkish eggs, avocado toast with poached egg, acai bowl, banana pancakes, and more. All are good quality and decent portions. Lunch offers a good selection and is perfectly pleasant, though taste wise nothing particularly stands out. With more free time in the evenings to explore, we found ourselves drawn to the excellent dining options in town for dinner – we highly recommend hiring a car for easy evening access to Bacalar but taxis are also easy. For lunch, we enjoyed a nice salad at Arugula and a great burrito at Mi Burrito. For dinner, Nixtamal, La Playita, and La Cabanita were standout options, and for excellent local style tacos, Taqueria Silveria is a must-try (the enchiladas were great). Amenities & Activities: Complimentary paddleboards are a wonderful touch – the lagoon is very calm in the mornings, perfect for a peaceful paddle. The scheduled activities are nice additions; I particularly enjoyed the meditation and watercolor classes. The spa offers a good rainy day activity (we each had 90-minute massages), though it was pleasant rather than exceptional. The Setting: The natural beauty here is remarkable – abundant birds, more butterflies than you’ll typically see anywhere, and a genuinely tranquil atmosphere. This is the real selling point: the calmness and magic of the place itself. Considerations: The property has stairs and some uneven paths, so it may not be ideal for those with mobility concerns. Service is friendly but could be more proactive. You’ll receive WhatsApp details for reception and the wellness center upon arrival, along with free Wi-Fi. Bottom Line: Excellent value for money and a truly special place. The serenity and natural beauty of Our Habitas Bacalar make it a memorable retreat. Would definitely return.

-Es un lugar hermoso, las habitaciones huelen rico, están limpias y el diseño te hace sentir mucha serenidad. Nos gustó que durante el día no ponían música y podíamos escuchar los sonidos de la naturaleza. -Es un buen detalle que te dejen repelente natural asi como shampoo y acondicionador ecológico. Corinna, la host que nos recibió nos dió buenas recomendaciones y siempre fué muy cálida y amigable. Nos sentimos muy agusto con el staff también. Sólo sería bueno que en el restaurante el staff se presentara de nombre. -La comida del restaurante estaba muy rica y bien servida, nosotros probamos los desayunos y cenas. Algo que nos encantó fué que como sabían que ibamos de Luna de Miel nos sorprendieron con una botella de vino. Fué un toque genial!! Muchas gracias chicos hiso nuestra primera noche muy romántica y especial! - Finalmente no se pueden perder los amaneceres en éste lugar. Son hermosos!! Si es un hospedaje caro, pero si se pueden dar el gustito vale la pena.

Creo que urge una regadera justo a lado de la laguna. Nosotros por cuidar a la laguna tomábamos un baño antes de ir y no usábamos absolutamente nada de repelentes o bloqueador. Lamentablemente los otros turistas no lo hacían y cuando nos metíamos a la laguna ellos dejaban una nata muy asquerosa de producto. Esto se nota en donde están las escaleras de madera. Del otro lado del paddle board no lo notamos asi como al interior de la laguna no estaba la nata. Era sólo donde estaba el muelle y escaleras donde usualmente se quedaban las personas nadando. Otro detalle es que en el desayuno como nos servían una miel super deliciosa, eso atraía muchas abejitas, y hacía que fuera complicado comer. No sé si sirviendo menor porción y retirando esos vasitos de la mesa rápidamente ayudaría. Aún asi disfrutamos los desayunos y cenas del restaurante.

Es ist ein Kraft Ort, eine Oase, traumhaft, wo man die Batterien laden kann. Fast unbeschreiblich, man muss es erleben. Ich zehre und träume immer noch davon und würde sofort wider dort hin, nur für viel länger. Ganz herzlichen Dank das wir das erleben durften.

- Le lieu est exceptionnel. Ces bungalows qui se fondent dans la jungle, en face de la lagune, c'est un exemple de ce devraient être tous les hôtels qui se targuent de respecter leur environnement. Le jardin est incroyable, avec plein d'espèces de plantes et d'animaux, et le bout de lagune est magnifique. - Notre bungalow était parfait. La douche en extérieur est superbe, et notre souhait d'être au calme a été très bien respecté : je pense qu'on a eu le bungalow le plus calme possible. - Nous avons pris une fois le déjeuner servi en face de la lagune, et il était très bon. - Bon emplacement : à moins de 10min de voiture de Bacalar dans un sens, et de Los Rapidos dans l'autre.

- Le petit déjeuner et le dîner était bons, mais un peu décevants par rapport à ce qu'on a mangé ailleurs au Mexique, compte tenu du prix. - Les prix des repas (et des prestations si vous en prenez) sont un peu abusifs. Autant le prix du lieu est plus que mérité, autant rien ne justifie de payer 5€ l'espresso. Même à Paris, on en a 2 pour ce prix-là.

Localização idílica sobre a lagoa, numa zona calma e menos movimentada que a lagoa. Toda a arquitectura do hotel desde áreas comuns aos quartos está inserida na natureza de forma muito harmoniosa.

Alguns quartos por estarem mais inseridos na vegetação circundante têm uma menor exposição solar e por esse facto, apresentavam um cheiro característico mais intenso no seu interior. O pequeno almoço é a “la carte” e sem reforço de bebidas (café, água quente para o chá ou sumo) e com pequena flexibilidade para troca de ingredientes entre pratos (as alterações foram cobradas como extras). Não existiam pagaias suficientes para todas as pranchas de padel disponíveis.
