Marigold Hotel Dalat

Nice clean and comfortable room. Good location with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

Felt like the staff were not particularly friendly and the breakfast was alright but not great.

Paper thin walls so screaming families felt like they were in the room with you. Families used corridors as a playground running screaming kids all day. Bed was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable, no spare toilet roll, breakfast was terrible.

Location and customer service

Rooms are inconsistent I booked 3 rooms only one with pleasant size the other two are small. When asked to borrow ironing board we were advised that none available and the ironing service is chargeable. This is the first hotel we experienced the policy

it was close to the centre

The information booklet was like an auction room catalogue. It had a full page of the price of items in the room. Not that they were for sale but for the cost of any damages. Maybe some info on various sites that we could visit would have been more helpful. The breakfast was poor, and certainly designed for the non western traveller. Some fresh fruit would have been good. If you want to go on the short historic train trip. Check before you go to the station. The 11.55am was cancelled. Wasted a whole morning.

We arrived and found the porter willing and ready to carry our bags. The reception desk staff were great we checked in and got to our room quickly. We had been in a car the whole day so it was good to soak in a wonderful spa bath. The bed was most comfortable the pillows were supportive. The room itself was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection of food.

Being a tall guy I found the breakfast areas low cielings a bit claustraphobic. Unfortunatley its the design of the breaksfast floor.
