The Lodge at St Edward Park

We had visited St Edward park with family, walking down to the water's edge and finding the walk back up in the heat quite a stretch, so ambled into The Lodge to find a cool drink. The bar on the ground floor - I appreciate that us Brits use different numbering for floors, but the floor that one enters through the main door - was just closing, so we directed downstairs to an alternative. There is a lift available in addition to the stairs, plenty of restrooms on every floor and, we noticed, works of arts and items of interest on display along the very long corridors. The downstairs bar was cool - as in temperature - with hand painted murals on the walls and an understated vibe. Happy hour cocktails and drinks were available and a menu of light bites. Service was very friendly and attentive. The whole vibe of the hotel / lodge was understated elegance and good service, quiet and unassuming but comfortable.

What a lovely gem to find. The room was beautiful, clean and had lots of historical character but had been updated. The restaurants were great and I was pleasantly surprised by the art gallery! Overall it’s a beautiful hotel and property. I got to hike / walk through the state park which was the main reason I chose this location. I will 100% come back.

This is a very different and unique (in a good way) hotel. Love how quiet and serene it is. Facility is amazing. The ability to take a morning hike and see Lake Washington is fantastic. The gym was small but well equipped. Room bathroom was like a spa.

It was a very relaxing stay, the rooms are as they are in the pictures. The staff were great. My only feedback is the restaurant food. It was fine, but over priced and nothing too unique.

Loved the seclusion and natural environment. The architecture and art displays were very nice. It would be helpful to have dresser drawers to unpack clothing into. One day our wet towels were not removed from the bathroom. If this is an environmental conservation effort, it would be nice to have that communicated more overtly. Really enjoyed our stay and look for to return.

Love it Must stay A lot of history

We loved it. We stayed for the weekend for a wedding happening on the property. Beautiful area. The rooms are very nice. The food was great. If you love nature, there is a lot of great trails along the property. Loved the spa. We'd go back again.

We came spontaneously for brunch on a rainy June Saturday and weren’t disappointed. We ordered to start, 2 croissants and a cortado and an Earl Grey tea latte and followed them with an order of Congee with barbecued chicken, vegetables and a molded egg and an order of frittata. Everything was weak prepared. The service couldn’t be improved.

Very peaceful and beautiful outdoor setting. Like the hiking trails right off the property

I’ve eaten at Cedar + Elm twice and had the same server, Jillian, who remarkably remembered me months later. What a lovely way to be greeted. Every dish I’ve eaten here, whether shared or solo, is just right. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the Seattle area. Add to that the private and peaceful location and you’ve got a very special and unique place to get away or host friends.
