Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Very overpriced- £300 a night is far too high for this standard of accommodation. No shower in our room, breakfast only served from 9am onwards which is late if you need to be up and out earlier. Very blow beams / ceilings in our room which made walking around difficult.

The location is a small, picturesque village in Sussex. The area around the pub is quiet. The staff are young, very pleasant, professional and helpful. There is a wide choice at breakfast including a range of cooked food, although we didn’t have time to have anything cooked.

Our room (Bluebell) was extremely small. It was difficult for 2 people to move around freely - we are both quite short and slim - larger guests might have difficulty e.g. you need to close the folding door to the bathroom to get past the bed. There is a desk but no room for a chair. So probably better for a single guest with minimal luggage. Breakfast is served from 09.00 and wasn’t fully laid up until about 9.15 so we were not able to have anything cooked as we had to leave by 10.00. At £215 for a night’s b and b it seemed expensive for the level of accommodation.

Lovely family run pub. Could not be more helpful and excellent breakfast from 0900.

In summer with windows open there is some noise from the kitchen extractor but otherwise peaceful. Rooms a bit small but we booked late so probably some are larger

Nice room, good pub, really friendly & helpful staff. The food in the pub is also very good, well worth stopping in for dinner!

Location was great, breakfast great, staff pleasant, other guests were friendly. The ambience of the place and generic location is lovely.

We requested a twin room, but this was not translated into the booking process. As we arrived quite late, it was not realistic to change the situation. Staff made an effort to make reasonable adjustments. Unfortunately when providing additional bedding to facilitate a more appropriate sleep arrangement, we were provided with a duvet minus a cover. Inevitably, this was not ideal as there is nothing luxurious about sleeping covered in 100% polyester when your friend has clean cotton bedding. However, this was more of a situational rather than a generic issue. The management acknowledged this oversight at the point of checking out.

Lovely pub in the countryside. Rooms are noisy. Staff are lovely. Food is excellent.

A pretty village pub in a lovely location. Spacious room ( we were given an upgrade), very comfortable bed. Excellent well cooked breakfast. But best of all the very welcoming friendly and efficient staff. They could not have been more charming and helpful
