The Ram Inn

Lovely pub with incredible food and great staff. The room was a bit noisy (thin walls maybe) but everything else was ideal.

Overpriced! Tiny rooms not very well maintained ( eg loose taps and toilet seat, paintwork aging, scruffy car park)

Breakfast offering was fair. Room where breakfast was served was a bit gloomy. I also had dinner at the Ram. The food was good but the service was poor - the waitress took my order and then returned a couple of minutes later because she had forgotten what I ordered. I ordered / asked for a drink several times but my starter arrived before a drink. Having eaten the starter the plate was whisked away and immediately replaced with the main course.

In the junior suite the washbasin was badly cracked and stained. The bath interior similarly was very scratched /scored. The bathroom door was badly stained around the handle - I wiped away the dirt with a wet wipe !!

A perfect retreat tucked away in heaven.

We had to leave early so missed it.

The location, food and staff all lovely. Our bed preference was not awaiting us, but a kind and acceptable solution was soon reached, resolving the situation to everyone’s satisfaction. Thank you

The Ram could do with a lick of paint and a thorough spring clean.

Breakfast was great

The bar and food very expensive and finding out the locals were paying local rates which was far less then what we were paying. This made me feel a bit second class and bitter.

We went to the Country for a break from the Town. The location close to the Downs and charm of the historic Inn and surrounding village was outstanding. The breakfast of stewed fruit followed by croissant and coffee was excellent.

This wasn't the Hilton but that is not what we wanted. It was lovely. Comfortable. Friendly and more than met our requirements and wishes.
