Manitou Springs Resort

Let me start by saying the room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool. Where this goes downhill is with food services. I didn't know we were booking into a retirement resort. The restaurant says that it's open until ELEVEN. So we made plans for the day and to grab a late snack from the restaurant Unfortunately for us, when we were going back to our room from the pool, they already had a last call sign out for 9:15! are you serious! I understand that management needs to watch costs, but to close almost TWO HOURS EARLY! So, that derailed our plans as we had hoped to get something to eat later and are now stuck without anything! Try a different restaurant? Same thing! I guess we needed to eat at 4 to have our "late" snack at 8, I guess. Now, in my eyes, no one gets a 5. So a 4 would have been max. The no "late" food service drops to a 3. If this was just any weekend, I would have left it at a 3. However, since this was our anniversary weekend and there is more emotion involved in having a nice weekend. It drops to a 2.

I was struggling with whether or not I should share my recent experiences with Manitou Springs, and decided that for the safety and well being of future guests, that I absolutely had to. On the first night of my stay, a gentleman on my floor went into cardiac arrest and I had to perform CPR on him until the ambulance arrived. At no time did any staff member offer assistance, bring me one of the multiple AEDs on site, or come to the room to comfort his wife- they left all of the emergency response to other guests. When I checked out, I raised my concerns to the manager, who tried to lie and say her staff were assisting. I was there well into the time paramedics entered the room and there was never a staff member with us. The only response from management was that they'd try to train their night staff better. My stay was ruined and they didn't even offer to discount the room- not even a free meal to thank me or the other guests for intervening when they failed. Now I'll likely have to pay double what the room cost to deal with the trauma of administering CPR on a dying man. If you or a loved one have cardiac issues, or you expect staff to respond to an emergency, consider staying elsewhere.

Always enjoy the pools and the lake setting

Love the pool! Reliveved my pain and improved my skin tone. Food was low quality for the price. Phone in my room didnt work so couldnt use it to order room service. I used my cell to call in my order but was told I couldnt have room service since it was busy. There was dust strings hanging from the ceiling in my room. The surroundings of the pool area really need an upgrade. Overall, I will return because of the healing water but my expectations have been adjusted.

Loved the mineral pools, loved that it was near the beach and it was clean. Could desperately used some up keep on the building

Room was very clean, the beds are so comfortable. The pool water is very relaxing.

We had a 3 night stay at Manitou Springs Resort. The Staff were excellent. Our Room was clean & non smoking which was perfect. The Spa Facilities were exactly what we were looking for with exceptional service & care. The Pool was the best. The Food/Service in the Dining Room was delicious. Our Holiday was great and we are going to book again for Next Year. Thanks again for a Perfect Vacation. 2025 Judy from Calgary
