Glenwood Inn - Stroudsburg

Nothing bad to say. Excellent stay 👍

My wife and I were not looking for the red carpet like the other reviewers. Great price. Inside jacuzzi and pool were a great surprise. Very clean water. TV, clean towels and bed. Nothing bad to say about this place. One FYI for the red carpet reviewers.... "This is NOT the Marriott" 😂

My stay was not bad. At first glance the area did look rundown due to their being a large abandoned building right next to the inn. But the receptionist was pleasant. The room was clean for the most part. There were some paint stains in the jacuzzi and the blinds could use some cleaning but other than that it was fine. Was a little sad that we had a mini fridge but not a microwave. And the heating unit did take a little while to heat the room. But overall the stay wasn’t bad. I’d def recommend this place if you’re looking for something a little more affordable and don’t need all the bells and whistles that main stream hotels offer.

This stay started out OK until a man dressed in street clothes, in a personal vehicle approached my girlfriend and told her she was considered an "additional guest" in a double room and that she would have to pay $20 cash in order to stay. It was a very strange encounter, we were given a refund and left. Expedia is also to blame as they advertise the double room for 2 guests, however they default to telling me the hotel may have its own policies. The property is near empty and verging on appearing totally abandoned bit we enjoyed that part and the rooms are clean. The property owner is intrusive, rude and way out of line. I have video of him telling me that he has my CC info and that he could charge whatever he wanted. He also claims that he doesn't accept Expedia reservations although he did for 2 out of 3 of our nights stays. All very strange and inconvenient. Find somewhere else to stay....although I cant imagine the doors to this place could be open much longer. Sad!

Location is Nice and Quiet. Property Manager is Very Friendly With Good Stories to Tell. Felt Uneasy when leaving as 3 cars suddenly pulled up next to me - a bit scary. Pool is cold but overall nice and clean. Other than that a very nice place to stay.

We loved it! Very quiet and, a little strange but thats what makde it perfect. Room was very clean, staff was friendly.

Quiet and secluded

Checked in went to the room open the door a musty smell came out went in the room turn on the heat no heat had to sleep with our jackets and clothes on could not even take a shower bathtub was dirty check out was at 11;00 A.M left when everyone else left like 8:00 in the morning could not wait to leave my wife put an X on this place good luck if you stay there.

It's a hidden gem. It's actually a magnificent facility. Room was clean, sheets clean, bed tidy, water was hot and plenty of it and it's a short walk to the Appalachian trail head and downtown. The area is quiet this time of year and I enjoyed that. The staff also stands out for their help and recommendations. I found everyone easy to talk to.
