Riverside Shrewsbury by Chef and Brewer Collection

Really couldn’t fault the Riverside bedrooms, food or setting. Staff friendly, and everything recently redecorated and spotless. Convenient for Shrewsbury, the Wrekin and nearby villages, but a car is a must.

We stayed for 1 night and overall it was pleasant. Lovely and clean room and friendly staff. It was a very warm and muggy day and unfortunately there was no air conditioning in the room. There was a small fan which didn’t really help. We kept the window open all night and the room was facing the main road so there was constant traffic noise. Unfortunately, there was no mini fridge in the room either which would have been very handy. Another downside was that there’s no room service which was a little disappointing considering how much we’d paid for our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice, but again there was no air conditioning. Breakfast the next morning was lovely with beautiful views of the river and countryside. I think we would stay again but perhaps in autumn or winter.

We had a fabulous stay here for my husbands birthday surprise. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. This is honestly becoming my favourite place, the views are beautiful, food delicious and the staff could not be any better. Thank you for making our stay wonderful. x

WOW! This hotel is absolutely gorgeous , I was so shocked when we arrived and saw just how beautiful the hotel was . The location and views are fantastic , the rooms are beyond spacious , clean and stunning. The breakfast was so yummy and the portion size was huge! Overall so so pleased with our stay and will definitely be booking to go again!!

Comfortable rooms, good menu, good food, good and friendly service, nice location. Would stop there again if in the area.

Being new to driving an electric car on a long trip, we were delighted with the charging arrangements and the incredibly helpful staff both on the phone beforehand and when we arrived. Food was great.

Outstanding in all aspects - superb room, excellent view and a busy and vibrant venue. Only fault was the breakfast was below standard - burned toast and undercooked poached egg - this small issue did not detract from a fabulous stay

Lovely, clean and well presented place. Great staff, very helpful and good food. Very nice outdoor seating with a lovely river view. Rooms clean and comfy.

Friendly, quite place to stay, though there is no lift to there rooms

Overall it was good. Comfy, clean. Service was good albeit a bit pushy for approval rating. The menu is good but inflexible. The full breakfast on my last morning was very poor with stale sausage and undercooked bacon and black pudding.
