Island View Hotel Bar Harbor

Wonderful experience. The room was very clean and looked lovely. Staff was helpful. Liked it so much we stayed an extra night!

Most of the hotels in the area are older, I found that the towels and bedding were very new in this hotel. We were able to extend our stay which was nice. The guy working the front desk was very friendly and helpful with our stay. Would go back again.

It was good. I probably overplayed for what I got but it’s the high season in a vacation destination. The room was good. Comfortable beds, good a/c, nice tv, WiFi worked great, and a good location. Ok, 2 things got me. No daily maid service? I know this was a Covid thing - didn’t realize some properties are still not servicing room daily. We were the 3 nights, trash cans were overflowed, ran short on supplies like TP and soaps,etc. We were on the second floor, the northern steps should be immediately torn down.They are certainly not up to code and are separating from the exterior of the building. Railings are there but inadequate. I don’t know about the other set of steps and there is no elevator. I would recommend a first level accommodation. Overall good, but….

Bed was nice. Nice view from balcony. Not within walking distance to anything. Price was very reasonable.

All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was a little dated but for the location and price it was great.

Loved location with bay view. Good value for access to park, with close access to coffee shop, grocery store and restaurants. Enjoyed upgrade to Bay side offered by pleasant manager.

Beautiful view!

This is a clean and basic motel at a good price, with amazing views of Mount Desert Island across the bay. The location is very convenient and very close to the bridges that take you to the island. I think you can pick up a free shuttle bus to Acadia from a spot near the motel. The drive to Bar Harbor takes about 20 minutes. The island is definitely bigger than I realized!
