Island View Hotel Bar Harbor

The staff at check in were friendly. The hallway leading up to the room and the room were pretty rundown. Drained drapes carpet and the microwave was in the hall landing. Strange set up.

I like the view and the position

Easy access to Acadia/Bar Harbor with very reasonable prices, two restaurants in walking distance, comfortable bed, hair dryer, Keurig coffee maker, super convenient all around, and very kind staff! Thank you for providing a safe comfortable homey environment for my vacation!

Exactly what I was looking for: very comfortable beds, quiet environment, fair and reasonable pricing, multiple places to charge electronics, gorgeous views, easy access to Acadia/Bar Harbor. Thank you for providing such a nice home base for my vacation!

Overall Good but the only thing they need to improve the process of bulk Checkin, it bit slow and annoying

Although apparently, in the past, this place has received poor ratings, they have recently renovated, and it is very good. The front desk staff and the other staff were very friendly.

nice hotel

Staff: Friendly and fast check in. Room: Hotel is pretty dated. The AC is strong but pointed directly at the side of the bed so whoever sleeps on that side might feel freezing while the other side of the bed feels comfortably cool. I put a pillow up to block the air since I was the one on that side. Bathroom: Sink was small and only big enough for one person to put toiletries on. The shower was missing the soap tray (the wall anchors were there so it must have fallen off at some point recently). There was a hole were a towel bar was previously, guess they hadn't patched up the screw and wall anchor hole yet. The water is hot and has good pressure. Amenties: Free parking. Well off the main road so it will be quiet. Right next to the water. Island View isn't bad for the price. "A 2 star hotel around the corner to Acadia national park and a 15-20 min drive to downtown Bar Harbor" is accurate.

Inexpensive

Amazing value for the location and scenery, probably the best option when planning a trip to Mt.Desert Island on a budget.
