Island View Hotel Bar Harbor

Property does not offer maids service. Room isn't made nor towels are changed if you stay more than one night. We stayed 2 nights, trash wasn't emptied. Room smelled. For a price of over $200 per night , we expected a min service.

Value for the money. It’s not five-star, not even 4, but it suited our need for a 3-night stay, and it is worth the savings compared to other rentals in the area. It is close to everything in Bar Harbor, all within short driving distance. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

The worst

The property is fine for sleeping, a microwave in room would be a nice addition.Alai the website shows a cute white picnic table by the waterway, it's the only picnic table on site and now weathered and gray, which you could be ok with, but there is also an environmental fence that's been there since 2017... So please update the site for accuracy.

We had 2 rooms. The bay waterfront view was excellent! Light in front of the hotel room. Our initial room was very smelly. The front office, a young man, switched us out immediately. and came to our room 10 minutes later to make sure all was good. He was uncommonly good at rapport with guests. Very professional. We were very pleased with our stay.

We booked and paid through Expedia and the hotel charged my debit card again when we got there. The room was paid already with my husbands credit card. So we will see if this will be fixed.

Such a great property! David was very helpful and fun- gave us great recommendations- current’s restaurant is a must and the lobster pound was amazing. The property was clean and very quiet! Will go back!
