good place, good vibes, nice room

The hotel is glamorous and very clean with wonderful , helpful staff. The first impressions were very good! The facilities are good. There is a pool but mostly felt for children and young families ( which is fine). There are lots of activities for children and young families which is good. There is a pretty- alright gym to use. The bedding and towels were clean and there was a good tv and WiFi. The location is not bad at all but we feel a lot of tourists / travellers come here for Mount Bromo so less about the area around the hotel- which seems to have less going on. The breakfast is really broad, varied and generous. The egg offerings and fried tempe are delicious! You really can eat as much or as little as you want. The same restaurant that does the breakfast does a lovely chicken soup with very sweet staff. We found some of the other restaurants a little disappointing sorry. We felt very comfortable here. We particularly liked the room

For starters, during the 6 months before the stay when i booked this hotel, i received 6 spam whatsapp messages linked to this hotel with personal information that most likely came from their system (or booking.com, but i have never had that before), stating that i needed to verify my creditcard. It looks like something is really off here. About the "stay": I notified this hotel well in advance that during my stay in Indonesia, i got sick. I let them know 6 days in advance, that i was not able to make the hotel reservation. They ignored me at first. Then they stated that they could not do anything about it (they can, they are just not willing to). They said: Regarding your request, kindly note that your reservation was made under a non-flexible (non-refundable) rate. Therefore, in accordance with the terms and conditions applied to this booking, unfortunately the reservation is not eligible for cancellation, rescheduling, or refund. We truly appreciate your understanding in this matter and sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you to our hotel on a future occasion once your condition has improved. Should you require any further assistance or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us. I did ask for further clarification but they just keep repeating the same. They want to make it appear they are friendly, but they just want money. They have no other option to book it flexible, so there isn't much room here. They made no attempt to help the guest whatsoever. No refund, no change in dates, no partial, nothing. Be very carefull to book at this hotel.
