The location was good very central to everything.

The apartment was quite dirty, stains and bits on the sheets and beds, the floors and kitchen cupboards were filthy and the bathroom had a horrible smell like sewerage.

"Nothing like the photos and nobody took responsibility when things went wrong"

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Avoid at all costs. Booked 4 nights and left after 1 because the apartments looked nothing like the photos. The first flat was above a nightclub with unbearable noise. The second stank of smoke, had stains on the sofa and in the shower, broken blinds, dirty windows, cracks in the walls and a heater that looked like it was falling off the wall. To make things worse, I was required to call the property and provide my card details over the phone to pay a £100 deposit in order to receive access. I specifically asked whether this could be done through Booking.com instead and was told no. Ironically, Booking.com later advises guests to report this kind of off-platform payment request, but when I reported it, nothing happened. What shocked me most was what happened afterwards. The property became completely unresponsive. I sent photos, made complaints, spent weeks on messages and calls and even escalated the case to management at Booking.com. In the end, I was simply told that because the property would not agree to a refund or date change, there was nothing Booking.com could do. So despite leaving after one night, despite all the evidence and despite the accommodation being completely different from the listing, I lost almost all of my money. Based on my experience, both the property and the Booking.com listing seriously misrepresent what you actually get. If something goes wrong, don’t assume Booking.com will step in and help.
