Thompson Denver, by Hyatt

This location: 10/10. I was in town for a conference, so I was able to walk to (and from) the Convention Center (~10 minutes) when the temperatures were above 50. When the temperature dropped, I could take a 6 minute uber/Lyft. There is also the 16th Street Mall Free Bus right around the corner. The hotel is near a variety of restaurants (We did not get to eat at the hotel restaurants, BUT heard that the breakfast was amazing.). Also, while in town, we also attended a Denver Nuggets game (6-8 minutes in the Uber/Lyft to Ball Arena). Although we stayed on the 5th floor (above a busy street), I did not hear any street traffic. We had a "city view" room, but it looked into an office building across the street. It was the weekend, so not too much activity/people looking into the room. We could get a glimpse of the mountains when the sky was clear. The hotel: 9/10. The room was clean! I do heavy inspections and disinfecting rooms--wiping surfaces with Lysol wipes and spraying surfaces with Lysol. No residue, stains, bedbugs, or stray hairs (which I have found at other Hyatt properties) to be found! The sheets were crisp and clean. I appreciated the "wood" floors, which I prefer over carpeted floors that are often stained and trigger my allergies. If you need firm pillows, please request or bring your own. No luggage racks in the room, but I requested 2--delivered to my room in no time. I deducted a point because the room does not have enough lighting (especially near any of the mirrors). This is a problem if there is more than one person trying to get dressed in the room. Since the only mirror with lighting is in the bathroom, I made a makeshift station with the portable makeup mirror. The fitness room: 9/10. The fitness room is warm and has a good selection of weights and machines. I deducted a point because it is in the basement, which means no windows (personal preference here). I opted to walk to a gym (8 minutes) because I needed a piece of equipment that was not in the fitness center. Overall, I would recommend the Thompson Denver...and plan to stay again on a future visit.

Thompson Denver was amazing! Chris was exceptional. The skyline suite was everything we expected and more. We had an amazing time! Will go there again!

Great location in the heart of Denver, nice atmosphere nice and quiet, the rooms were very beautiful and we got upgraded to a corner suite for free. Very clean and well kept, and a nice value. The restaurants dinner was to die for the filet was so tender, and the burger was a great portion, and the escargot was very flavorful. Highly recommend to go to Chez Maggy it’s located on property.

Service was exceptional during our stay...from check-in, bar, breakfast, and check-out. They even recognized the special occasion and left a lil gift in the room. Location is very good and room was clean.

Nice spot in a great location. Very accessible walking to everything. Free ride bus was so convenient to the outdoor malls area.

Its a trendy , darker theme more industrial feel. At same time cool features like record players in the rooms, I do wish there was more light but also thats part of the Look. Globalist breakfast has improved in terms of food quality especially the Omelets. Nice upgrades for globalists with free parking, nightly treats and bubbles at the front desk. They still have the signage and elevator for the Reynaud lounge which has been closed for a while. Very comfortable beds and linens. Overall a stylish and class act of a hotel/

This hotel is very accommodating for pet owners and we’re very friendly. The location was incredible and the afternoon free treats in the lobby were great.

I had a pretty fantastic stay here. The staff were really great and hospitable throughout my entire stay. I booked my first night on points and the remainder with Prive and my reservations were merged at check in so I didn’t need to switch rooms. I booked a base room and was upgraded to a 1 King Corner room. The corner rooms are more spacious, with a desk by the entrance facing a window, and a wardrobe in the hallway connecting the entryway and the room. Beside the bed there was a little couch as well, which I put my luggage on since there was an empty space that looked like it was for luggage, but oddly there was no luggage rack was in the room. My room was pretty quiet, I couldn’t hear any street noise on the 8th floor, nor my neighbors. I was given 2 plastic bottles of water at check in, but there’s also 2 reusable aluminum bottles in the room. Turndown service is also offered, but I couldn’t figure out what time they come by so I ended up missing it for most nights. Breakfast at Chez Maggy was pretty great, the Globalist credit is $40/person while the Prive credit is $60 total. You can have brunch on weekends, but only before 11am. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and how well I was treated, so I’ll definitely be coming back in the future.

Our family stayed for three nights at the Thompson Hotel by Hyatt in Denver’s Lower Downtown neighborhood. It is a new hotel convenient for shopping, dining, bars, and Union Station. This is a leisure hotel and lacks a business center. The large lobby is good for getting together. There is valet parking. The rooms are modern and well equipped, though lacking a bathtub. We stayed on a lower floor where street noise intruded and hindered the view. Prices were comparable to other hotels in the area. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

What a beautiful Hotel! Super modern - the best Hotel on our trip. The Bathroom was my absolut favorite :) Everything is closed by the Hotel. We can absolutely recommend it!
