Suigetsu Machiya House

We liked the traditional Japanese design of the house and the convenient location. It had everything we needed for a short stay and there are lots of convenience stores, restaurants and shops nearby.

A couple of low areas where you can bang your head, the damaged door to the garden and the steep steps to the upper floor might not be good for some people or young children.

It’s a great traditional machiya house. Because it’s traditional, the walls and doors are all fairly original style with some modernisation. The bathroom is modern as is the small kitchen. The only real problem was the cold downstairs. It has stone floors in the tv and kitchen area and the doors that look onto the lovely little garden outside lock in none of the heat. I would recommend using this property in late Spring to early Autumn. Overall a great location and nice property!
