Rupa Rupa High Jungle Eco B&B

The staff was very nice. They picked us up at the train station and took us to the hotel.

Joe met us at the train station a little late, but he was friendly and helpful. He carried our one suitcase up the many steps and told us where to buy bus tickets and recommended a restaurant. We were aware of the steps, which is why we brought only one medium suitcase and each a backpack. The room, while spacious, had no hooks to hang towels and no counter nor shelf for toiletries. The balcony for the room was cool with great views, but what's the point when you can't enjoy it past 8 am since that is when breakfast ends. That's right, breakfast ends at 8 am! Breakfast wasn't appealing either. The only good part was the scrambled eggs, and we weren't asked if we wanted scrambled. On the day we left for Machu Picchu, they allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel since checkout is at 10 am, and Joe met us at the train station with our suitcase and backpacks. That was really helpful since we were pressed for time.

Clean eco friendly hotel with a great location for fit travelers who can climb 107 steps. Excellent staff and wow what more can I add? A+++

We did not end up staying at this hotel. They emailed to ask what time we were arriving on the train and said they would send someone to meet us - no one came. We messaged through Expedia that we were going to get dinner before check-in as our train was delayed - no one answered. We climbed the long staircase to the hotel - no one was in reception and the place looked abandoned. There was a number to whatsapp "Joe" - he didn't answer calls or texts. We left and found another hotel. Joe finally called and said he was available. We told him not to bother. Still trying to get a refund 4 days later - Expedia can't get hold of the hotel or Joe either! DO NOT STAY HERE!

When I booked nowhere was said about the 100 stairs to get up there, and doing it at night was terrible

Staffs are very accommodating and helpful. Liked the quietness, getting there is pretty challenging for those who cannot walk but adventurous for those who can walk.

Great hotel, quiet and clean. Only thing is that if you have issues with lots of stairs then this hotel is not for you, otherwise, highly recommended

Beautiful and cozy room, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend it! The only consideration is that it is located a few stories up some steep staircase without an elevator... so... on the other hand, the staff helped us with some of our luggage.

Rupa Rupa was a magical place! We loved staying here for our Machu Picchu experience. Joe was very helpful and breakfast was perfect each morning! The shower was awesome!

Our family loved this place, the room has great view with a seat out area. Also room has windows all around. Very warm & friendly front desk, he was at the train station to walk us to the hotel, yes it is walkable distance :) Next day morning, we had breakfast on the rooftop, it has awesome view. Breakfast was good too.
