Deluxe City Centre Apt Balcony View Free Parking

Fantastic location, beautiful view from the balcony and the place has everything you need! Lots of great places surrounding it and you won’t go hungry with everything nearby - Indian restaurant almost next door, great little bar opposite and a Tesco Express just a stone’s throw away. There were other bars/restaurants but this is where we went. Didn’t manage to make the museum so will have to book a return trip for that and the little book shop on the barge below definitely warrants a visit. Being out of the city centre means you have less noise and more of a ‘relaxed’ atmosphere but that doesn’t mean you’re ages away from everything; to us it meant the best of both worlds! And there really was nothing like seeing the dock lit up at night, we even slept with the blind open as it was so pretty. Would definitely return!

Just a couple of minor tweaks could freshen the place up a bit, there is a rather strange smell that others have mentioned but nothing hideous. Again as others have previously stated, check-in process could’ve been a little bit better as for someone who likes to be organised, I was a bit stressed at having to email for instructions the night before but this is something minor that can be sorted.

Not deluxe in any sense of the word and I was so disappointed with this apartment. 1. Apartment itself (and the building as a whole) had a bit of a weird smell about it. 2. Kitchen was missing the front of the oven door (glass front) so the handle was loose and felt unsafe to use. 3. Kick board in the kitchen was lying on the floor and you could see how dirty it was underneath the cupboards. 4. Kitchen floor had seen better days, felt sticky and gaps in the boards which were full of bits. 5. General decor was grubby and in need of some TLC. 6. Parking advertised as ‘on site’ which to me means the same building but was actually the Citi Car Park around the corner - it seems they deem ‘on site’ to be on the dock area. Great location and felt very safe but definitely not as advertised and disappointed as I booked as a surprise for my sisters birthday and felt like we had been a bit misled. I book lots of hotels personally and professionally and very rarely feel the need to write a negative review but in this case feel it is justified as the apartment you get is not what I believe is on offer.

The apartment was petit but very clean and comfortable. The other residents were also very friendly and helpful when we had a problem getting into the building (the keypad to enter is different from the one pictured in the instruction email). We were there for a function at the Armouries, so this location is ideal as it is just a quick stroll away. The balcony boasts great views and the apartment has everything you need. I would definitely stay again!
