Casa Mont'Santo with Balcony & Terrace

Unique house in unique place. For kids magic place for discovery. Really interesting and recommended!

The lowest level is quiet cold.

Location is exceptional! We just had the best time and the house was way better than what we were expecting. The fireplace also warms up the main bedroom and the 1st floor hallway. Everything was perfectly clean. It has 2 different patios which provide spectacular views right from the top of the old village. Very central and close to the 3 little spots to eat in Monsanto! Highly recommend.

It's just amazing! The house is one of the old ones, with a stone in the terrace wall. Huge house, fireplace, Netflix, great views, amazing location!

Check in process and instructions. Waited 1.5 hours to be met at property per confirmation emails, only to be called and told key was hidden close by. Needs some maintenance and updating (toilet seat not secure, towels smell musty, pans are poor quality, mould in shower, need more than 3 coffee pods for a 2 night stay when there is nowhere to buy them). Bed needs updating as springs can be felt. Spare pillows in cupboard are mouldy.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Mont'Santo. The house was remarkably spacious and comfortable. The house has four levels. First floor - kitchen and living room. Second floor: Bedrooms and bathroom/shower. Third floor: Another bedroom with a private balcony. Fourth floor: Large rooftop terrace with a small hut containing the laundry facilities. The house is located near the top of the town, a short walk to everything that you might want to visit. There is even a few places to park a small car nearby, with more just down the road. We enjoyed exploring the town and castle. There are a few small restaurants nearby.

Struggled to find the place - better directions would have been helpful.

We were lucky to have been able to stay in this fantastic house and absolutely loved the two balconies that gave a great view over the village. It was in a great location and we even managed to drop off our luggage without too much trouble given the challenges with the small laneways! Come prepared with food which we had been told to do! Our host was helpful with everything and we would be really happy to come again.

The house was probably suited to warmer weather but it is well appointed and the bedrooms are warm and snug. We did have some issues with water draining from the shower base but the views made up for any issues!!

The location is absolutely beautiful. It's so quiet and charming in February.

It was a little bit cold inside (it's an old house in Portugal in winter, so that was expected) and beds were quite uncomfortable.
