Dormio Gasthof Höllwirt

The room is a suite with a washroom and bathroom. It is large and very clean. The hotel is equipped with various kitchen utensils for cooking. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. It's about a 10-minute walk from the train station and a 20-minute walk from the lake. The scenery along the way is also very beautiful. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Hallstatt by bus, which is very convenient.

Check-in and guest rooms are in two completely different places, about a 15-minute walk. The hotel did not inform us of the specific location for check-in in advance, which caused us a lot of trouble. Thanks to a local Austrian couple who helped us, otherwise the consequences would have been terrible.

Foto which you see on booking com seite,it s not true.The haus is not existing as Restaurant any more,,so no breakfast possibility ontge spot the whole house is empty, wir denken das Personal von Dormio Resort wohnt dort.On the doors standing:personal.We could get key in the village in Dormio Resort..their telephone is hard to reach. In the building is a mess ,electric kabel everywhere on the corridor floor.I don't no what could we do in case of a technical problem Thats all you can not see on the booking com.

The size and that it's close to Obertraun and the lake view is stunning. On first impression the apartment looks good... But then you notice the details

Cobwebs everywhere. Dining room chairs were falling apart. Shower drain blocked and flooded when showering. Shower head had only 1 powerful setting. Very shabby. I wouldn't stay again

Lovely place to stay. Very beautiful and peaceful area. The views were breathtaking. Would definetly recommend it 👍 x

The property itself 2 km away from the reception. The room really needs to be refreshed. The floor is very squeaky, the drain in the shower is blocked and no one showed up to fix it (we asked). We got one tiny bottle of shampoo and body wash for THREE PERSONS for FOUR DAYS stay and they refused to renew it when we asked.

The main building has great facilities, right next to the beautiful lake, not too far from Hallstatt so easy to cycle to. Can hire kayaks and paddle boards by the lake too so very convenient. Beautiful setting and great that those in the offsite property can use all facilities at the main property.

We were in the off site property which we knew beforehand wasn’t going to be as nice as the main facility and it was a short walk to the main site too. This didn’t bother us, was easy to get from one to the other. Our issue was cleanliness. I found toenail clippings on our shower shelf on the first day. To me this indicated it either hadn’t been cleaned at all or hadn’t been cleaned well, either way disappointing. Despite staying in the cheaper accommodation I still expected it to be clean. It was also extremely hot in there and the beds weren’t comfy. We didn’t really sleep for those 2 nights. Stay at the main site if you can.

Too expensive and had to walk for 20 minutes to the main resort.

Could have done with towel changes and some spare loo roll.

The room is spacious, it's like a one bedroom apartment. The view from balcony was amazing, the restaurant at the resort was good, the location of the resort where the reception is, is an amazing location which is at the back of the lake surrounded by mountains on all sides 😊

The reception and hotel are in different places (approx 1km away). The room was perfect, it had a kettle but no coffee/sugar sachets which can be included in the room.
