Elk River Hotel

We absolutely loved staying here. It was super clean quaint and the staff was very kind. It was like stepping back in time. Our room was beautiful. Very colorful and bright. Beautiful furnishings and the grounds were amazing. Right on Elk River and very quiet. Its a little bit off the highway but well worth the drive. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. We will definitely come back again.

It was the old simple rooms that were quaint and sitting out by a fire at night was very nice!

Old hotel main house very beautiful

Loved the Snow room for having a veranda to relax on and easy access to the river to contemplate the beauty of creation. Nice place for the price. Easy check-in and checkout. The hotel decor is gorgeous. Very convenient to the new Elk River Rail trailhead in Gassaway where we biked. We arrived Saturday evening and it was tricky finding a place to park so we were down the block a little ways, but after that we had no issues. The grounds are beautiful but could use some love and care (weeding) and grass removal after mowing.

I will no stay here again, nothing to do, really old little town, scary.. we left a night earlier we didn’t feel good, and didn’t like it.

The room was clean and comfortable. The facility was quiet and peaceful despite seeming very busy. The food and service in the restaurant was very good.

Generally a cute property. We stayed in the Carriage House room. We slept well, but the bathroom tub wouldn’t drain, so it was very dirty. We had to clean the tub before we used it.

We were only at the property from late evening until early morning. We arrived after 10 and could easily navigate the property. Our space would perfect for our four adults and one preteen to sleep and have room to spread out for a bit on our roadtrip.

Incredible river slide location - we would not have stopped in Sutton but for Elk River Hotel with its clamping tents. Super friendly staff - thanks for posting our iPad!!! Good kitchen - if in Sutton eat here - nice wines - and great breakfast - grand experience

All great! The village offers little bar a fun general store with a Big Foot ‘museum’ - and a rabbit on the loose …
