Delta Hotels by Marriott Riviera Nayarit, an All-Inclusive Resort

Amazing location. Loved the nature, watching the birds and other animals, the ambience of the restaurants. I personally loved the huichol restaurant. Very romantic vibe and in the day time you could sit by the big windows and look at the trees and the little creek. All the staff were very friendly and kind all the time and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. Great drinks and coffee.

There were speed bumps on the roads inside of the property that were not signaled or colored and my dad (Who is elderly) tripped over one of them and fell. The toilet in our bedroom had a problem with the pump and didn’t flush. We reported it and they “fixed it” the first night. Didn’t work again the next morning. Reported it again and after a couple hours they sent someone who replaced the pump and it finally worked. Sometimes when asking for a cart to take my elderly parents to places inside the property, they never arrived and we had to walk (our bedrooms were on a hill). The food was not very tasty. Maybe it works for people who visit from other countries, but for Hispanic people like me it can be bland (we need spice and heavy seasoning). They have a good variety of dishes and desserts though.

The people working there were amazing! The beach club and the Japanese restaurant are a value add; Dash, Pablo and all of the guys from the beach club are pretty awesome, that is the real plus of the hotel.

The food of the hotel could improve, in the other hand the food of the beach club and the from the Japanese restaurant was amazing; also it is worth to mention that it was very disgusting that the hotel spelled us out of the beach club early one day because there was a wedding…

We recently stayed at the Delta Nayarit, Mexico and wanted to give some feedback. The hotel seemed understaffed, especially at the pool and restaurants. Pool towel service was consistenly out of towels and we were told to either come back in 30 minutes or they would offer a bathrobe in place of a towel (note there were no bathrobes in the rooms). There is also no towel service at the beach. Since you can only get one towel per person at a time, this is inconvient. Two seperate days, the water in the rooms went out, rendering taking a shower impossible. The gym never had sweat towels and was out of cleaning wipes multiple days, which I reported to the front desk. All in the all, the resort feels tired. There aren't enough lounge chairs at the pools or the beach and the beach lacks amenities. I was quite surprised there was no paddleboards or kayaks, even for a rental fee. Some of the pools seemed a little dirty, and the hot tubs were lukewarm. Food was a little better at the beach club but the food at the resort was often lukewarm at best and very limited lunch options. Lastly, the shower was gross, the showerhead was caked with residue as was the shower glass and windows.The ceiling around the showerhead was peeling and had water damage. The beaches and mountain setting was beautiful but the resort just felt tired and needs a deep cleaning.

We tried this resort as The Points Guy recommended it as a "best value for money spent" deal. This was a lesson in "you get what you pay for." The resort was dated, not well-maintained, and lacked quality to get it to a 2-star status in my opinion. From check-in, the staff were pretty content. They weren't rude or mean, but weren't as welcoming as one would expect at a resort. Pools seemed nice but were overcrowded and didn't look very clean. Rooms were less appointed than a roadside motel. Dirt and grime had built up in sinks and showers, and some plumbling fixtures were broken. One bright spot is that as a family of five, we had connecting rooms with a king in one room and two double beds in the other. Regardless of the deal you're getting, traveler be warned.

We had an excellent stay at this resort and would absolutely come back. The property itself is beautiful, well maintained, and exactly what you want from an all-inclusive—relaxing, comfortable, and easy to enjoy from day one. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay great. You never felt like just another guest. A special shout-out to Benny at the Xaman Bar. He was outstanding. Friendly, professional, and always in a great mood, Benny made some of the best drinks we had all week and remembered what we liked without even asking. He single-handedly turned the Xaman Bar into one of our favorite spots at the resort. The kind of bartender who makes you want to come back the next day—and the next. Overall, fantastic service, great atmosphere, and a staff that truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommended.

The Pool and facility and property were beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

The beds were hard, the Internet was bad, and it was difficult to be a vegetarian or a vegan even though they tried to accommodate. They really needed to have vegetarian beans. The food options became repetitive. They need one more sit down restaurant.

Facilities were great, the place was very clean and easy to walk, staff was very helpful and kind. There were a lot of pools and jacuzzi, food was good, specially the taco's food truck, and there is a lot of vegetation all around the place which is nice, you are close to nature.

I would just replace the Tecate beer :) The rest was great.

Early morning 9 am the sound of motorized leave cleaners spoiling the peace and serene of the place for the entire villas in the resort. They start at 9 am and go on for hrs. Suggestions to start after 10:30 am so that people can do meditation and yoga peacefully at the resort.
