Room was very small and very hot and stuffy

All very good. We were shown to our room and everything was well explained re fire exits, where to come in after hours, etc

We booked a family room and chose the hotel due to the location as it was near our destination. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we would expect. It was spacious with a lovely bathroom and great views across the countryside - I really enjoyed watching the swans on the river! We had an evening meal which was delicious and good value and breakfast was great with good quality, tasty ingredients & a good selection. We spent the evening in the bar which is nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a selection of board games available for guests and they are very dog friendly, there is a doggy menu, treats available and even some dog beds should your pooch need a rest :-) The staff were all really nice, friendly and helpful - special mention to Declan who checked us in and made us feel really welcome. There was a bit of road noise in the bedroom but it is by no means a busy road, we're just not used to being by the road. It certainly didn't disturb us!
