Hampton Inn & Suites Cedar Park North Austin, Tx

Our recent stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Cedar Park North Austin was deeply disappointing, and as a result, we have already begun canceling all upcoming reservations at this property. The absentee franchisee at this Cedar Park North Austin location is neglecting both operations and guest satisfaction — to the detriment of the Hilton brand. Our room was in disrepair. We brought the issues to the attention of the on-site staff, but the hotel manager was not present nor unavailable throughout our stay. We arrived late Friday evening and were unable to disrupt our schedule by changing rooms on Saturday. The following issues significantly disrupted our two-night stay: 1. Room 502’s wall thermostat is non-functional. Despite multiple attempts to adjust the settings, the room remained uncomfortably cold. 2. The TV and remote control are not synced. The TV must be turned on manually at the unit, and the remote control does not turn it off properly — it comes back on after being shut off. Additionally, the maximum volume is far too low, especially with the loud air conditioning running. 3. Electrical outlets: The bedside outlets (near the window) and the work desk outlets are non-functional. Staff mentioned a lightning strike as the cause, yet the failure to address these basic repairs months later is unacceptable. 4. The toilet paper holder was missing a piece making it useless. 5. The in-room safe was locked upon arrival. A new one was brought to us, but these safes are not anchored — raising clear security concerns. They are light enough for someone to carry them away. These are not minor inconveniences; they reflect a broader lack of maintenance and oversight. They should have been addressed long before any guest checked into the room. We are canceling what was originally a season's worth of bookings with this property. While we believe some form of compensation is warranted, we would not accept it in the form of a stay at this location. The front desk staff were courteous and did their best — but without a manager or engaged ownership, they had no real ability to resolve these issues.

Our go-to pet-friendly stay for Austin/Leander visits. Plenty of pet stations and greenscape. Staff trained and helpful. Property very well maintained inside and out. Good value, too.

Will NOT stay here again, maybe get over the worn out bed, but the smell is a deal breaker!! Lobby is well appointed, plenty of luggage carts, very friendly & welcoming young lady at the reception desk (it smells amazing). Common areas are clean, including halls & elevators. Coffee (lobby) is good and appears to be replenished with a fresh batch regularly. The room is disappointing. The overwhelming smell of animal is impossible to ignore. Air freshener not an available option, went to store & bought some. After spraying & placing a freshener (gel form) in the room, the pet smell (somewhat like wet dog) had dissipated, however still present. It is a pet friendly hotel, our prior experiences staying in such a facility we never encountered this. Perhaps defining the rooms as “pet” or “no pet” option would help. The linens & pillows were very good, unfortunately, the bed itself was not. It was at its end of life, we “sunk” as we slept & it’s a bit lumpy. Note the cleanliness of the room did not match the odor, the room & bath are clean. Shower is good. Average pressure, nice & hot, we appreciate they have separate shampoo & conditioner rather than a single bottle combination that too many budget friendly hotels providing. Appreciate the Kurig machine. No microwave in the breakfast area to heat muffins, etc. otherwise the breakfast was fine, sufficient selection that you should find something to satisfy.

Pool was small and all day in the shade. The laundry facilities were not in operation. The dryer did not work. But staff was very accommodating offering to wash and dry for no charge which was nice. Room was clean and comfortable.
