Kinn Guesthouse Downtown

The check in process is confusing and unclear. There was no staff to help in the early evening on a Friday. I was charged for something with no explanation of what for. Stressful

Very interesting place - modern and interesting

This was a little different than most hotels because there is no front desk although there was someone there to assist us when we arrived. Almost all our communication was through emails. Each floor has 9 good sized rooms with a large shared common area which consisted of a full kitchen, coffee/tea bar, and 2 sitting areas. It was beautifully decorated. The refrigerator had spaces for each room to place their personal items for continued use and there were plenty of dishes. It was centrally located within walking distance to The Milwaukee Public Market, the Art Museum and many shops. Great for families and groups. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I found the owner and other staff at the Kinn to be very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend a stay at the Kinn Guesthouse.

Property was great. There was a valet sign outside the hotel but in fact no valet. I was told that id been sent a text about there not being any valet service but checked and had not received anything. Perhaps remove the sign if you aren’t offering that service. Also the registration process requiring uploads of drivers license etc as pretty cumbersome. Otherwise the hotel was great

Code didn’t work when we got here, no cold water in the bathroom sink and maintenance could seem to figure it out. To get drinking water had to go to the second floor, they could have at least offered some bottles of water. For the cost, you’d think we could coffee in our room rather than having to get dressed and go up to the second floor to make coffee. The bathroom door had a lock hanging out but no hole in the frame to actually lock and unable to close completely.

We enjoyed one night at this lovely property in downtown Milwaukee. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The open gathering space on each floor is a great concept. It offers a full chefs kitchen and comfortable seating and space to hang out with friends. Charles the owner of Kinn was very kind and accommodating.

This property is nice and conveniently located in downtown. Room was very large and clean. One small complaint, the fitted sheet seemed too small for the mattress and constantly pulled off the corners. Fair warning, we had a ground level room right next to a busy street and the vehicle noise was very loud at times - particularly on weekend nights when we had cars blaring music outside our window frequently until 3 AM. This is not the hotel's fault, just a result of the location. The most important factor to consider is the level of attention you may require from staff as this property operates on a unique "limited staff" concept. This was ok for us as we are generally pretty self-sufficient, but it was problematic because we elected to use the valet service which required us to text or call a number when we needed our car or brought it back to be parked. After our texts went unanswered a few times we tried calling, and calls would not go through. My husband pointed this out to an employee but the problem persisted. This was a bit frustrating when we needed our car and were waiting around the lobby with no staff to be found. We never encountered more than one employee on the property at a time, and even that was somewhat spotty. Again, just consider whether this will meet your needs before booking, especially if you are accustomed to 24/7 front desk assistance, etc. Overall, the price is arguably a bit steep to not have staff readily available.

The property was very clean, quiet, safe & unique! I was incredibly impressed with the amenities, everything else listed above and how safe I felt staying here! Really great location, too. ONLY thing i would change is having the bar/restaurant open more often - didn't open until 5pm on a Saturday! Regardless, great property & stay.

It's a mostly self-service property, though friendly and helpful staff were there when we checked in. The rooms are beautiful, as was the shower and bathroom. A very comfortable place to stay!
