Torquay Heights Modern Apartments

The location was fantastic, short walk from the beach and centre. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Co op store at the end of the road. Can tell it was really lovely once, but isn't being cleaned and maintained.

The apartment was dirty, I messaged the owner, and received a " glad you are enjoying your stay" response. The furniture was mostly broken, some desperately needed replacing. Messaged owner about it, but was ignored. The coffee table collapsed, as it wasn't screwed together properly. There was mention of £100 fines for not hovering the apartment the day you leave. Charges for broken furniture, although that isn't being used to replace anything. Had to be out for 9am or was fined. Tv at awkward angle to sofa.

The location was good, close to the local town marina and seaside.

First of all, I arrived to a different room than I paid for! Very disappointed . Contacted the host who said " it is not my fault,you booked it through booking.com so talk to them or alternatively look for another accommodation" very unhelpful. Contacted booking.com and they have sent me back to my host! My kids are 14 and 15 years old , a boy and a girl who were allocated to one raised bed which anyway was way too small and their legs were hanging out. My daughter ended up sleeping on the floor the whole time. Another thing was the cleanliness of the room. Dirty dishes, dirty carpet, dirty pillow case, lots of dust on plants, cobwebs on walls, dirty tea towel etc... The flat was very noisy as it is located next to a busy road. Bear in mind when booking the free parking spaces are very limited and are not next to the property. Opposite the building there are pay and display parking spots which are around £11.90 per day. Wouldn't recommend.

The location is really good

The place was dirty, we stayed 6 nights and there was no additional toilet roll, clean towels or bedding. We were told by the cleaner not to do washing because the tumble dryer was broken. When asked for extra towels the nice gentleman did provide me some then the lady told me he shouldn’t have and I shouldn’t be asking for toilet roll or bin bags as I’m supposed to supply those myself…There was a slug on the ceiling in the bathroom, the kitchen items were dirty plates etc. On check out the cleaner refused for us to take my pot from home as she was adamant it was theirs. The sofa had stains on it, dust was so thick around the place I ended up cleaning myself.

Door to main building always left open by other guests so anyone could walk in.
