Palácio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel

We loved this hotel! The location was perfect for exploring Lisbon with shops and restaurants right outside the door and amazing views of the city. Our deluxe room was stunning and the overall hotel design was calming and lovely. Breakfast was excellent with amazing pastries and our evening treats were so unique and good! The service was some of the best I have experienced with a young team eager to share their favorite recommendations. Maria at the front desk gave us the best dinner recommendations and the other front desk employees were also so helpful and responsive. I would not hesitate to stay here again and hope to soon!

My wife and I stayed here in early February and we really liked this small, historic hotel. We had a few glitches but the staff always went out of their way to help us. We really enjoyed the daily "treats" delivered to our room. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and it was very good, as were our breakfasts. One tip, you need to reserve the wine tasting when you check in and you can only do it once during your stay.

We stayed one night at the Palácio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel. This property is located in the heart of Bairro Alto, in Lisbon, close to several tourist attractions, particularly those related to nightlife. The hotel is housed in a former palace, now renovated and converted into a luxury hotel. The “Wine Experience” theme, as the name suggests, focuses on showcasing different grape varieties and wine tastings. In fact, we attended one of the wine tastings organized by the hotel. The décor is well executed, blending classic luxury with subtle elements inspired by the world of wine. Although the hotel does not have its own parking garage, guests can park their car in a neighboring hotel’s garage for an additional fee. Check-in was handled in a friendly manner, and we were assigned a suite on the first floor (#106). The suite featured a separate bedroom and living area. The king-size bed was comfortable, with high-quality linens. The air conditioning was quiet and maintained a pleasant temperature. The bathroom had two sinks but only a shower. The bath amenities were very complete and of high quality — even facial cream and serum were included. It was a pity that natural light was limited and there was no view from the room, other than the walls of neighboring buildings. The buffet breakfast, complemented by à la carte options and including fresh fruit juice and sparkling wine, was varied and of good quality. Based on our brief experience, we can conclude that this hotel is welcoming, offers luxury services, and is an excellent choice for those wishing to stay close to the vibrant nightlife of Bairro Alto.

Beautiful historic hotel that has been renovated so well without losing its historical character. We felt like we were staying in a palace. The furnitures and all the decors were so unique and well chosen. Our junior suite was huge, and bigger than most junior suites we have stayed at. The staff was friendly.

The staff were consistently kind, professional, and genuinely approachable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from arrival to departure. The on-site Federico restaurant offers a truly memorable fine-dining experience, perfectly in line with a 5-star property. Our dinner was delicious from start to finish, with beautifully presented dishes and polished service that made the meal one of the highlights of our stay. The location is outstanding, set right in central Lisbon near Bairro Alto, Chiado, and Príncipe Real, making it easy to walk to major viewpoints, squares, and attractions. This is a beautiful, elegant boutique hotel that combines historic charm with modern comfort and a strong wine-focused identity. I highly recommend Palácio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon and would gladly stay here again.
