Hearthside Inn

Very quaint and quiet place. Room was clean and bright daylight with good interior room lighting at night. Attached bathroom nice but very limited counter space. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Good recommendations for food. Breakfasts were generous. Location with parking was great.

My now Fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Hearthside Inn. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating, we felt right at home! I had planned this trip for me to propose to my then girlfriend, and wanted a place that was a perfect mix of romantic and homey. The staff was easy to communicate with and were more than happy to offer accommodations when I told them I would be proposing on this trip (I ended up just purchasing the chocolate covered strawberries, but the gesture was very much appreciated). Both my Fiancé and I have food allergies / dietary restrictions between the two of us that make a solid list (celiac/gluten free, peanuts, shellfish, and cinnamon to name the most prevalent). The staff and kitchen took note of this and made sure there was an option for breakfast that would cater to our dietary needs. Huge thanks to the staff and chefs for that weekend, helping make our engagement weekend that much more special. Would book again :)

Thoroughly enjoyed our bed and breakfast stay. The location is convenient to Bar Harbor which is easy access to Acadia park. The staff was friendly, supportive and available. Room was just what we needed and very clean. We even had a box of Kleenex. In other stays Kleenex is not usually provided. The breakfast was superb. Always a variety with imaginative recipes. The bakery was amazing. It might have been nice to have a more savory option in the afternoon snack, but we did not go hungry. I would absolutely recommend this Inn.

Spent two nights here on a girls trip through Maine. We were greeted most warmly by Juliana who saw to all our needs along with Olivia and Catherine. The rooms were comfortable, the living room inviting, and the setting convenient but quiet. Shout out to chef Martha for her delicious breakfasts and delightful afternoon tea. Will definitely come back!

The cutest bed & breakfast ever! The food was amazing and the inn was so cozy and accommodating. This was our first stop on our honeymoon and I would highly recommend this stay for anyone passing through Bar Harbor.

Our stay at this charming Bed & Breakfast was simply exceptional. The highlight was undoubtedly the host, Juliana, whose warmth and kindness were second to none. She welcomed us with genuine hospitality and made us feel completely at ease. Her attention to every detail created a truly comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Juliana’s care and dedication were evident in every interaction. The breakfast each morning was outstanding — fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. It was clear that each item was prepared thoughtfully and with love. She even took time to offer helpful local recommendations tailored to our interests. The rooms were immaculate, quiet, and tastefully decorated. What set this place apart was the personal and heartfelt service we received. Juliana made us feel more like guests in her home than customers. She strikes a rare balance of professionalism and warmth. Every moment of our stay was relaxed and enjoyable. It’s a true gem for anyone seeking comfort with a personal touch. We look forward to returning and seeing Juliana again.

Truly a wonderful experience! We almost stayed at an Airbnb outside of town and I can’t imagine doing that now that we’ve stayed at the Hearthside. We booked for the location and stayed for the top notch hospitality provided to us by Juliana and her whole team- Martha, Catherine, Olivia, Maryella, and Maryna. The rooms were tidy and cozy and the food was delicious (and nothing we would normally cook so it was a treat!). We can’t wait to come back!

We loved the Hearthside Inn! It was exactly what we wanted and needed during our little New England getaway. Everything felt clean and crisp and refreshing, down to the linens and furniture and yummy lemonades Juliana made! She was kind and informative and made our trip even better with her recommendations. And Martha’s food was excellent! Cannot recommend this place enough!
